3. Daniel spirals after disciplinary action

Daniel Osbourne’s life continues to unravel after he learns Mrs Crawshaw has decided to take disciplinary action against him.

Absolutely furious over the situation, Daniel vents his frustrations to Ken before later unloading on Adam too. But his anger soon gets out of control when his outburst ends up frightening Bertie.

Realising he needs space, Daniel announces that he’s heading to the Lake District to clear his head. Ken and Adam agree to step in and watch Bertie while he’s away, hoping the break will do him some good.

However, once left alone, Daniel’s behaviour takes a worrying turn. Rather than preparing for a trip, he isolates himself completely and reaches for a bottle of whiskey.

As he shuts the world out, it becomes unclear whether Daniel has any real intention of leaving at all.
