Billy was a much-loved member of the community (Credit: ITV) 1. Billy’s loss is felt Billy Mayhew, the much-loved vicar of Weatherfield, sadly lost his life in the Corriedale car pile-up. He’d been driving a minibus full of Weatherfield residents back from Debbie and Ronnie’s wedding. While many of the passengers freed themselves from the vehicle, Billy was in an unlucky position. Theo remained the only one inside of the van with Billy as flames hit the van. Theo had the opportunity to free Billy from his seat belt but instead he let him remain trapped. Todd was devastated when he realised that Billy had died inside of the burning van, with Summer breaking down into tears upon receiving the news at the hospital. On Tue, Jan 6, the Street finds out about Billy’s death as residents pay their respects by leaving flowers outside of his flat. Carl isn’t out of the woods (Credit: ITV) 2. Carl Webster fights for his life Carl Webster was drunk when he crashed his car during the Corriedale scenes. He then slid unconscious sister Debbie into the driver’s seat to make it look like it was all her fault. While Asha managed to save him after he fell unconscious at the side of the road, his condition remains unstable at the hospital. Will he pull through? 3. David’s condition is worrying At the hospital, the result of David’s seizure is revealed. With David seeming fine after the crash, he suffered a seizure at the hospital while supporting Shona. But, will he make a full recovery? 4. Shona’s labour Shona remains at the hospital after going into labour during the crash. She’s worried as her baby isn’t ready to be born yet, and she needs her Weatherfield specialist due to the complicated condition of her baby. She looks to have a life or death decision on her hands. What will she do? Becky was arrested by Lisa (Credit: ITV) 5. Becky faces her comeuppance Becky Swain thought that she could make a getaway until Kit freed Carla from a shipping container which ruined her plan. Carla told Lisa everything on the phone, resulting in the crash. Despite Lisa being in a bad way in the ambulance, she lured Becky closer before snapping the handcuffs on her.
