1. A secret wedding saves the day
With the function room flooded and plans in tatters, Lisa isn’t about to let a little setback stop her big day. Keeping Carla completely in the dark, she hatches a surprise that turns everything around. Under the pretence of a free lunch from Debbie, Lisa leads Carla into the Chariot Square hotel… where Carla is left stunned. Tucked away in the corner is a beautifully decorated wedding arch, ready and waiting.
Before she can even catch her breath, Ryan appears with champagne, closely followed by Roy and Betsy carrying their wedding outfits. It quickly becomes clear – the wedding is still happening. And Lisa couldn’t care less about missing out on a grand ballroom. For her, it’s all about marrying Carla.
As Betsy, Roy and Ryan look on, the pair walk down the aisle together in a moment that’s as heartfelt as it is unexpected. Writing their own vows, Carla and Lisa exchange emotional words and rings, finally becoming a married couple in their own unique way.
2. A reception and a murderous twist
But this is Corrie, so the drama isn’t far behind. Back on the Street, Carla’s thrown when the factory alarm starts blaring. Determined to deal with it, she heads over – only to be met with another surprise. Inside, the factory has been completely transformed, filled with friends and decked out for a full-blown wedding reception. Lisa really has thought of everything.
And, while the reception is in full swing, someone’s life on the Street is about to come to a deadly end…
3. Eva reveals all
Elsewhere, the tension is just as high. In the bistro, Eva opens up to Leanne and Toyah, revealing Megan’s bombshell confession that she slept with Will – and it’s safe to say the fallout is only just beginning.
4. Debbie cuts Carl loose
Over at the hotel, Debbie draws a firm line under things with Carl. Handing him an envelope stuffed with cash, she makes it crystal clear she wants him out of her life for good.
5. Jodie’s story raises the stakes
Meanwhile, Jodie spins a chilling story to Shona, claiming Olivia’s dad is her violent ex and that the stolen hard drive has put her in serious danger. Shona, clearly rattled, urges her to leave immediately before things escalate.
6. Todd makes his exit plan
And as all this unfolds, Todd is quietly preparing for a fresh start, collecting his final belongings before heading off to Thailand – but will he really get away from it all that easily?
