Sadly though, poor Billy Mayhew ended up dying in the huge car pile-up, losing his life as the minibus he was trapped inside became engulfed in flames. Also in the crash, Shona and David were rushed to hospital as Shona went into labour. At the hospital, David suffered a seizure while Shona also panicked that her baby wasn’t ready to be born. It was too early. And, Carl Webster lay in his hospital bed badly injured. Some would say it was karma as he was left to sit with his recent actions. He’d slid his sister’s unconscious body into the driver’s seat of his car so that any blame for the crash wouldn’t be put on his drunken self. Horrible stuff.
