As Zoe fretted over her stalker, Lauren found herself distracted by thoughts of Jimmy. Desperate to do everything she could for her son, she decided to take a chance on an experimental treatment – resorting to shocking measures to score the cash she needed.

What has Lauren done?

Elsewhere, Freddie and Anna broke the news of their impending departure, while Ross and Vicki made tentative steps in repairing their relationship.

Lauren took desperate action

Lauren was unable to move on from thoughts of experimental surgery for baby Jimmy. She spoke to a doctor, who informed her that he could help with a treatment called ‘patching’ – using a skin sample to ‘grow’ replacement eyeball bits.

At the hospital with Cindy, Lauren shared her conversation with the doctor. She’d need £3000 for initial tests, and showed Cindy a series of reviews all backing up his claims.

After speaking to Peter and Cindy, she was having second thoughts about the treatment. That evening, charity quiz night at The Vic got underway, having raised a whopping three-and-a-half grand for the greater good.

Lauren was horrified as baby Jimmy grabbed the knife on Ian’s table, cutting himself. After this latest trauma, Lauren was back on board with the surgery.

Later, she asked Ian for the money, but was dismayed when he dismissed it as a con, and refused. Taking matters into her own hands, she decided to put the Queen Vic’s fundraiser money to good use, transferring £3000 to Doctor Adamson as Peter lay napping on the sofa.

However, when she called the doctor to inform that him she’d transferred the cash, Lauren got a nasty surprise… his number was no longer in service.

Freddie and Anna prepared for the future

Recovering in hospital, Cindy fretted over what to do about Jasmine. Her case worker, Mary, had promised to investigate, so the Beales were holding tight for now.

Hearing of Anna’s plans to go travelling with Freddie, Gina wasn’t happy. How dare Anna leave the Square with the man Gina had, uh, betrayed her with.

In the café, Freddie fretted over how Jean would take news of his impending exit from Walford. After a pep talk from Anna, and armed with her necklace, he headed over the Square to break the news…

Ross reconnected with Vicki

Ross met with Vicki after the night before. Agreeing to meet in Harry’s Barn for another drink, the pair were making more moves in the right direction.

But does Vicki’s heart lie with Ross? As he sloped off to work, Zack watched from across the Square. At The Vic, Zack listened in as Ross confided in Harvey – suggesting he take it show, and hinting at how she’d attacked Damon last week.

Later, Ross confronted Zack, demanding to know what he’d meant about Vicki ‘lashing out.’ Zack, however, kept schtum, insisting that it was Vicki’s story to tell.

At Harry’s Barn, Ross and Vicki shared another reconciliatory drink – all under the watchful eye of Zack.
