After the surprise return of Whitney Dean yesterday EastEnders has delivered again as Sharon Watts made a triumphant return to Walford. The week of Vicki and Ross’ wedding is bringing back all the faves – and fans are thrilled. Sharon arrived back to surprise Vicki (Credit: BBC) Sharon Watts returns to EastEnders Today’s episode was mostly focused on the exit of Grant Mitchell who fled the Square after bailing son Mark out of trouble. With the police hot on his heels, Grant was able to get away from Walford with Sam, driven by Phil. As the Mitchells headed away, a black cab was arriving and none other than Sharon Watts stepped out. She is back for Vicki’s wedding to Ross. Sharon Watts is an EastEnders icon but the queen of Walford, played by Letitia Dean, hasn’t been seen in Albert Square since autumn last year. Fans last saw Sharon when she made a brief return in September last year, having spent time away. She came face to face with Zoe after many years. And Zoe lied that her twins had been fathered by Sharon’s husband, Dennis Rickman. Sharon immediately offered Zoe the cash that she needed to find out what happened to her son. But when Sharon discovered Zoe had lied – and the real father wasn’t Dennis after all – she was distraught. Heartbroken, Sharon fled Walford once more and she’s not been back since.
