Liam and Chas toast to their future (Credit: ITV) Drama at Chas and Liam’s engagement party in Emmerdale spoilers There’s cause for celebration as the locals gather in The Woolpack for Chas and Liam’s surprise engagement party. The lovebirds were nearly torn apart after Liam was injured in the limo crash. Liam suffered a bleed to the brain and him nearly dying made Chas realise how precious life is. She popped the question and Liam accepted. The happy couple are on cloud nine as they toast to their future together. But then Liam’s ex, Ella suddenly walks into the pub and the atmosphere changes. Ella feels awkward when she realises there’s a party going on and Chas makes it clear she doesn’t want her there. And Chas’s mood sours even further when she learns John has asked Aaron to marry him and he said yes. Never one to keep quiet, Chas voices her concerns to Aaron over his sudden engagement. However, John is listening in and is gutted not to have her blessing. Later, Ella starts ranting about Chas to John, but he’s too fixated on what he overheard to care. Is his need to get Chas onside developing into an obsession?
