Cara Robinson has arrived in the village – finally! And viewers will be very relieved to see her.

Since Nate first vanished back in September last year, one thing has bothered Emmerdale fans – why wasn’t his mum ALL over his disappearance?

It’s not that long since Cara was last in the village, so viewers were baffled about why no one had mentioned her.

Did anyone even call her to see if Nate was with her during the months when no one knew where he was?

And even more mysterious was the fact that Cara can’t have had heard from Nate in that time either, given that he was at the bottom of the lake.

And yet, she didn’t contact Tracy, or Cain, or Moira to see what was going on.

Fans were bothered about the lack of contact, weeks ago.

“Why has Tracy or Cain not contacted Cara?” asked one baffled viewer at the time. While another simply asked: “Where’s Nate’s mum?”

And when the funeral arrangements were being made, many viewers shared their bewilderment at Cara being forgotten in the ‘just for family’ plans.

Some viewers pointed out that Cara didn’t make an appearance when Frankie was born, either. Nor at Tracy and Nate’s – admittedly secret – wedding.

But we’re just glad she’s finally back to stir things up in the village!

Will she be sticking around to get to know little Frankie? Only time will tell.
