Bernice was last seen in the Dales towards the end of 2023 before deciding to leave the village, with actress Samantha Giles then heading to the stage in The Syndicate. But, with daughter Gabby Thomas set to marry Vinny Dingle, Bernice is ready to watch her ‘little girl’ walk down the aisle. And, we can’t wait! She’d burned some bridges with Nicola King after buying things in her name. After trying to pay off her debts by handing Nicola over her shares in the B&B, she then upped and left. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers However, The Sun has now reported that Samantha Giles will be reprising her role as Bernice for Vinny and Gabby’s wedding storyline. It’s music to our ears. A source explained: “Everything is being kept very hush hush but of course Bernice’s return is a big deal as one of the soap’s most loved characters. “And Samantha being back among the cast is a real win too, as everyone loves working with her.” Samantha’s expected to start filming in just a couple of weeks time, however it will just be for a rather short stint. Vinny and Gabby are super loved up (Credit: ITV) Vinny and Gabby’s engagement in Emmerdale It took a while for Gabby to warm up to the idea of Vinny, unsure whether she wanted to cross that line between friendship and romance. But, almost one year ago, Vinny and Gabby actually decided to make a proper go of things. Flash-forward to the present day, the pair are living together in their own home and are engaged. They’re looking forward to their big day… Next week’s Emmerdale spoilers though show that Vinny forgets his and Gabby’s anniversary of being together.
