It looks like things are going very badly for Mr King and they’re not getting better any time soon. Plus Jo’s in danger as Andy’s temper spirals out of control and he lashes out. And Scarlett’s 16th birthday party gets out of control! These episodes originally aired in December, 2007. Read on to find out more in our Classic Emmerdale preview. Matthew’s in big trouble Matthew is convinced he’s being framed but when the police show him his own diary with RK- MG written inside he’s stunned. They think he was meeting Rosemary at Manor Farm when she disappeared. He denies writing the entry and with no more evidence to go on the police let him go. But Matthew is angry when both his solicitor and Perdy seem to doubt his innocence. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Later shocked Grayson has a meeting with his private detective, who reveals that he has traced Rosemary to Miami. She’s out for revenge on Matthew and she’s making his life a misery from across the ocean! Stunned at his mum’s actions, Gray decides to tell Matthew what Rosemary is up to. But when he goes to tell Matthew everything, he hears Perdy’s voice. He’s horrified as he hears his wife and Matthew discussing their plans to move in together. Furious, Grayson decides to add to his mum’s revenge plan. When he sees Matthew’s car at the garage he takes the chance to plant evidence. Murderous Matthew? Later, Matthew’s car is searched by the police and they tell Gray that they have found one of Rosemary’s cardigan buttons. Gray ‘breaks down’ on a shocked Perdy. She comforts her husband, while Matthew is arrested for murder. Matthew’s so annoyed at being arrested that he sacks his solicitor. While he waits for a replacement, Gray sees a chance. He turns up at the police station and claims to be Matthew’s new brief. Matthew is furious when he is confronted by Gray and he lunges at him. So a triumphant Gray declares that he wants to press assault charges and it seems that Matthew is in too deep. But Perdy is suspicious that Gray doesn’t seem to be grieving for his mum. Gray watches Perdy carefully when he tells her Matthew has been charged. Perdy does a great acting job and remains calm but as soon as Gray leaves the room, she breaks down. She knows her chance of a happy future with Matthew could be over. Furious Matthew takes out his rage on Grayson (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Emily says goodbye Emily’s leaving drinks go swimmingly, and even Debbie turns up to bury the hatchet. But when Grayson and Matthew start bickering they threaten to spoil the party. Emily steps in and calms things down and it’s clear she will make a fantastic vicar. But will Paul and Jonny leave the village? When Gray finds out that Katie has told Jonny about the surrogacy he’s worried. He goes to see Jonny and tries to bribe him not to tell Katie that he’s gay. Jonny, though, insists that Katie has right to know. But Gray threatens to ruin things between him and Paul, so instead, Jonny tells his fiance they should leave the village together. Paul agrees and tells Nicola. But she’s upset and spills the beans to their dad, Rodney. He tells Paul he’s making a big mistake. When Paul tells Val, though, she’s supportive. She tells them she will be happy wherever they choose to be, just so long as they keep a spare room available for her to come and visit! Gabby’s acting dreams are crushed! Gabby’s upset not to be chosen to play Mary in the nativity. Later Ashley and Laurel are horrified when they discover both the children have gone missing. But when they get home, they are relieved to find Gabby with Daniel playing Mary and baby Jesus. Meanwhile Belle’s planning to put on a panto, with the help of the village. It’s called Cinderbella! Pearl’s struggling Edna invites Pearl to spend Christmas with her. Pearl feels left out by her friends but doesn’t realise that they are redecorating her house for her. Can Jack forgive and forget? Jack and Diane have a heart to heart. Diane’s upset when Jack admits that he hopes they will get their marriage back on track but he’s not sure if they can ever repair their relationship. She rushes out. Jack is sorry that he finds it so hard to forgive and forget. Scarlett’s party gets out of control! Scarlett’s disappointed when Carrie vetoes her having a party for her 16th birthday. Lexi agrees that Carrie’s being unfair. Jimmy persuades Carrie to let Scarlett have a few friends over in the evening, assuring her that there won’t be any trouble. But when Victoria hears about it, she posts details of the party on the internet. Soon the whole house is full of drunken teenagers! Eli and Daz help get rid of the troublemakers, and Scarlett gives Daz a big snog to say thanks! When Carrie comes home and finds her daughter snogging Daz in the middle of all the mess, she is unimpressed. Daz legs it! Later, Scarlett catches up with Daz and he apologises for doing a runner at the party. There is definitely a spark between them but they realise that they will have to remain just friends. Jo is terrified when Andy lashes out! (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Andy’s anger puts Jo in danger Stresses run high when Jo gets the chance to expand her business and heads off to an important meeting. But things go wrong as she arrives late and flustered with Sarah in tow. She’s forced to ask the manager to look after the little girl, but the meeting goes well. Afterwards though, Jo is in a panic when she discovers that Sarah has gone missing. When a furious Andy gets a call to say his daughter’s at the police station, he confronts Jo. Fuming, Andy snaps and slams Jo against a door, punching the wood just inches from her face. There’s more stress in store, when Andy has another court appearance. When he comes back, he’s in a bad mood, despite Jo’s attempts to make things better. Andy reveals that he has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric report for the court. Jo tells Andy to keep his chin up for Sarah’s sake. Can Jo forgive Andy? Later, Jack reminds Andy that he needs Jo’s support. For once, Andy pays attention. He tells a delighted Jo that he wants to set a date for the wedding, and he’d like her to adopt Sarah. Lisa’s not happy when she hears about the plans. She visits Debbie at the garage to warn her that if she approves Andy’s adoption plans she will never be able to have Sarah and could regret it for the rest of her life. Debbie though isn’t bothered. She tells Andy that she’s happy for the adoption to go ahead. But Jo’s having doubts! She tells Andy she doesn’t need a piece of paper to be a mum to his little girl. Later she asks Debbie how she feels about the plan. When she realises that Debbie is completely fine with the idea she changes her mind. She tells a delighted Andy that she will go through with the adoption after all. Val’s scheming Val’s put out when Eric doesn’t want her to move back in with him. She shares her woes with Rodney who tells her she should go all out to get what she wants. So Val decides to move in little by little. But when Eric finds her underwear under his bed he swiftly returns it! Donna and Marlon are arguing – again Donna passes her fitness test for the police.
