Val’s campaign backfires!

Val doesn’t want to be elected, so she delivers an outlandish manifesto based on her life. She’s absolutely convinced she’s scuppered her chances, and she’s delighted that Eric’s happy about it.

But her plan backfires when Hotten Courier reporter McNally declares he’s going to call her “gutsy and honest”!

Devastation for Alice in Classic Emmerdale

There’s devastation for Alice, as she and Del go to get her test results. Alice is horrified to be told that the chemo isn’t working and the size of her tumour deposits has increased. Alice is left reeling as she wonders what her future holds.

Meanwhile, Cain’s still hostile about Samson being at the cottage, and Zak tries to get through to him.

Toni and Paddy are awkward

Elsewhere, Toni and Paddy are awkward with each other and also worried things can never be the same as they were, and Jasmine and Debbie take on the running of the B&B as Adam and a groggy Steph head off on holiday.

Alice faces an uncertain future

The next day, Del is rocked as Alice talks about what the doctor said. Del encourages her to stay strong, but Alice explains the chemo can’t cure her – it can only prolong her life. Del’s shocked as Alice says she’s thinking about stopping her treatment.

Party planning in Classic Emmerdale

Jamie’s planning a party but when Debbie asks him about it, he admits the owner of the planned venue pulled out and now he has no choice but to cancel.

Debbie’s not giving up so easily, though, and suggests they use the old Wilson’s Barn instead. Jamie is pleased with the idea and agrees to hold the party there. But Debbie’s not finished! She tells him that she and Jasmine will run the bar for him, on condition they get a cut of the profits.

But once Jamie’s agreed, Debbie and Jasmine are left trying to come up with a way to steal the booze they need.

Val’s determined to lose!

Val decides the only way to lose the election is to come up with wildly unpopular views. So she designs a flyer declaring: ‘Lambert’s gay son is sister’s ex-husband’s lovechild’.

But will her plan work?!
