Donald’s playing games!

Rodney is suspicious about what’s going on when he overhears Nicola and David discussing care homes for Donald. He takes himself off to the hospital, to visit Donald. He’s worried that his elderly son-in-law seems to have Nicola jumping through hoops!

Rodney turns up at the hospital and Donald keeps up the pretence that he doesn’t remember Nicola. But when Rodney accuses him of tormenting Nicola, Donald comes clean and admits that he’s doing it to test Nicola’s motives.

Donald’s games continue when Nicola brings him home to the village. Miles tries to convince his dad to return to his own home but Donald insists he wants to start a new life with his wife.

Later, Nicola tries to sneak out to see David but a wily Donald asks her to stay in and run him a bath.

When Eric quizzes David about his romance with Nicola. He reminds his son to keep an eye on her cash potential and not let his heart rule his head.

But David can’t hide his feelings when Nicola makes it clear that she’ll sleep with Donald if she has to. Upset, he dumps her. But later it’s clear to David that Nicola has fallen for him too and they vow to be together.

Donald doesn’t want a divorce!

But when Nicola finally speaks to Donald about ending their marriage, it doesn’t go to plan. He pulls out of the annulment petition and reveals he knows exactly what she’s been up to!

Nicola is furious to be outwitted by an old man and confused that he doesn’t want the annulment.

But Donald reveals that she’s the only woman who has ever challenged him mentally and he wants to end his days with her. Nicola tells David everything and she points out that with her lousy nursing skills, Donald may not last long!

Later, Nicola sees Donald struggling to get out of a chair. Realising she could have a way out, she asks him to take her to the danceathon, hoping to push him too far!

But Donald realises what she’s up to, and he tells her he’ll take her next year!

Desperate Nicola resorts to flashing him a bit of a leg to get his heart racing, but that doesn’t work either.

Nicola is angry when she catches Donald going through the company’s finances with Miles. She doesn’t want Miles involved.

Nicola later warns Miles not to get involved with the business, but Miles stands his ground.

Lily asks Eli for help

Poor Lily is struggling with her arthritis and when it interferes with her dancing rehearsals, she reluctantly asks Eli for help with getting more cannabis.

Eli smugly tells worried Lily that he wants her to grow some cannabis plants as payment. He needs something for supplying while she waits for her own plants to mature.

Carrie’s heading to Canada!

Carrie tells a shocked Scarlett that she’s had a job offer – in Toronto! Scarlett is so horrified about it, that she and Daz run away together.

Carrie’s not too worried about her missing daughter because she knows she always comes home eventually.

After a night sleeping rough in a car at the garage, Scarlett returns. But she breaks down on Jimmy and tells him she doesn’t want to move to Canada.

Shocked Jimmy confronts Carrie about her plans and when Carrie’s old flame Nick turns up to find out what she wants to do about his job offer Carrie is torn.

Smitten Scarlett tells Victoria that she and Daz are seeing each other. Victoria is jealous when she sees them getting cosy in the cafe and tries to make out that Daz is only after Scarlett for her money, but Daz soon tells her that’s not the case.

Val’s got eye trouble

Val’s struggling with her eyesight and she’s worried it means she has a brain tumour. She’s relieved when she is diagnosed with cataracts but tells Jonny she wants to keep it secret.

Later Jonny pops out of a dance rehearsal to book an appointment for Val. But Paul sees him on the phone and accuses him of cheating.

Desperate not to upset Paul, Jonny blurts out the truth about Val’s cataracts in front of the dance contestants.

Val is horrified and runs off! She gets in her car, wanting to leave but as she reverses, she doesn’t see little Samson behind her, and runs him over!

Samson is rushed to hospital, but he’s fine apart from a broken arm.

Things are bleak for Sam

Sam’s upset when he gets a warning from social services about Samson’s accident.

And things get worse, when he is struggling for money and Carl demands his overdue rent.

Realising Sam’s in trouble, Eli offers to help out Sam. He asks him to do a pick up and drop off taxi service for him and offers him double pay.

Sam is grateful, but unaware that Eli is secretly using him as a drugs courier.

Later Sam gets some more work doing the dodgy taxi deliveries for Eli. But he’s shocked when he drops off the client and he finds a package of cannabis stashed in the back seat.

Sam angrily confronts Eli. But when Carl demands his rent from Sam once more, Eli pressures Sam into doing one last job and he reluctantly agrees.

There’s more bad luck for Sam, when Ross flags him down for a lift after his own car breaks down. Sam’s reluctant and Ross is suspicious.

When Sam accidentally clips the kerb, Eli’s package of drugs for delivery falls from under the seat.

Ross arrests Sam for possession with intent to supply. Sam protests that the drugs are not his but he refuses to implicate Eli and he breaks down when he learns that he could face two years in prison.

Debbie’s evicted

Viv wants Debbie and Eli out of the cottage, so she can sell it, so she bribes Shadrach to help. When Debbie comes home from her holiday, she’s shocked to realise her key won’t work because the locks have been changed!

Jasmine steps in to help. She threatens to write a nasty article about Viv in the paper and a worried Viv agrees to give Debbie first refusal on the sale of the house.

Debbie asks Matthew for a loan but he turns her down and says he’ll buy Tug Ghyll himself. But seeing a chance to get one over his brother, Carl offers Debbie the loan instead! Matthew is furious that his brother has betrayed him.

Debbie tells Zak and Lisa that she’s buying Tug Ghyll and they awkwardly remind her that Debbie promised to pay Belle’s outstanding school fees.

Debbie promises that she’ll sort something out and she borrows a little more than she needs from Carl, despite the steep monthly repayments.

When Zak worries that Debbie is overstretching herself she assures him she’s fine.

King v King again!

Carl is fed up when Jimmy turns up late for a business meeting and Matthew gives him a telling off about the refuse contract renewal and lending Debbie money.

Despairing about his brothers never taking risks, Carl suggests they buy more waste trucks. But his worries are proved true when they veto the decision.

A defiant Carl places an order for the trucks without his brothers’ knowledge.

Matthew is annoyed when he gets a call about the contract for the new trucks that Carl has ordered and he cancels the meeting.

Matthew tells a furious Carl that he’s the boss and they don’t need any more trucks. When Jimmy refuses to back up Carl, Carl is frustrated.

Later, Carl grumpily apologises to Matthew for being out of order, but it’s clear he’s still not happy.

Perdy plans the future

Perdy is planning for the future. She tells Matthew she wants to spend time with Katie to see where her loyalties lie.

She’s pleased when Katie agrees to come to Home Farm for dinner and they can chat.

But after the meal, Carl questions Matthew on the awkward atmosphere and Matthew admits that Katie is carrying Perdy and Gray’s baby.

Carl warns Matthew not to let Perdy take him for a fool, but Matthew insists that he loves her and wants to support her.
