3 baffling things from tonight's Emmerdale including Dawn's revenge and Vanessa's behaviour
Vanessa left us open-mouthedTonight’s Emmerdale has left us with more than a few raised eyebrows as we try to work out WHY Vanessa is being so stupid and HOW Dawn thinks she’s this much cleverer than Joe, among other things.
With Bear and Paddy’s trial finally over, things have settled down on that side of things, but now it’s leaving us with questions about other ongoing plotlines.
Dr Todd and Jacob Emmerdale tonight
Dr Todd was still giving Jacob a hard time, making comments about him being out with the baby and suggesting he was missing out not working. She even told Sarah he wanted to be at work rather than at home with her.
Sarah raged, confronted Jacob and then he raged at Todd. Only he did it in the ladies’ loos at the Woolpack.
It wasn’t the smartest move when Vanessa walked in and caught him and then of course she got involved.
So our question here is: why is Dr Todd doing this? What is she gaining from it? Why does she hate Jacob quite so much? It’s all very odd and needs explaining.
Vanessa’s unforgivable comment
So, we’ve got serious beef with Vanessa at this point. Why on earth is she so quick to take Todd’s side without even listening to Jacob?
She ranted and raved at him and then said just about the worst thing she possibly could: “Your mother would be ashamed of you.”
Like a dagger to Jacob’s heart.
How COULD she say something like that? His mother would not be ashamed of him, she would be straight down that hospital giving Todd what-for.
Honestly, we’re fuming that Vanessa could take the side of the woman she’s known for five minutes just because she wants to get into her knickers.
So we’re baffled by how and why Vanessa could be so stupid and so judgemental. Get in the bin.
Dawn’s revenge went very easily in Emmerdale tonight
Determined to give Joe a taste of his own medicine, Dawn stumbled tonight when he got all gushy. She didn’t think she could go through with it and went to see Moira.
But later she was seen clashing with Belle over the business. They have differing ideas and Belle was being quite nasty and undermining her.
Dawn whinged to Joe she wanted to buy Belle out and Joe offered her the money to do so. Bingo.
Dawn then went to the Dingles’ where she found Moira and Belle and told her their plan had worked and she’d have the money tomorrow.
So it was all a set up to get the first payment and they couldn’t believe it had been that easy.
Frankly, neither can we. Which means it probably won’t be.
First of all, how is Dawn going to explain it when she doesn’t own all of Take a Vow and still works with Belle? And secondly, just why does Dawn think the man who managed to steal someone’s kidney is going to fall for her little trap? Surely she’s not that stupid? Oh wait, she’s pregnant with Joe Tate’s baby, so maybe she is.
