Spoilers for the coming weeks have confirmed what happens next as Kim is left fighting for her life. It’s not looking good for Kim (Credit: ITV) Kim in peril in Emmerdale Kim Tate has spent the week not being particularly nice to her so-called best friend, Lydia Dingle. In fact, she was planning a huge surprise behind Lydia’s back. But Lydia just thought she was being cold and nasty so decided to help husband Sam betray their employer. Sam organised a dodgy shoot behind Kim’s back with some lads who Kim had previously banned. Lydia helped by providing lunch and also keeping Kim out of the way so she wouldn’t find out. But when Lydia realised Kim had arranged for Jason Donovan to perform at the Woolpack for her, she felt awful. She told Sam Kim must never find out what they had done – and they thought they had gotten away with it. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Only, Vanessa had spotted the shoot and reported back to Kim that there was a dangerous bunch of people on her land. Kim immediately raced off to find out what was going on. But disaster struck as the next time we saw her she lay alone in agony, unable to move or to reach her phone. Spoilers for Christmas and New Year, released earlier this week, have revealed Kim does survive the accident. But she is left all alone this festive season – and is struggling to cope. We know that Joe had been kicked out, with actor Ned Porteous revealing to the Daily Star recently: “Joe is basically ousted from the house by Kim Tate, because she’s so cross, because of what he has done to her horse.” So what has he done to her horse? Could it be something surrounding the accident? Ned stressed that Joe thought he doing the right thing. Whatever it is, Kim can’t forgive him even when he returns to try and make amends. She kicks him out and cancels her order for a family Christmas diner. But all alone at Home Farm and still injured, Kim has a fall and can’t get up. She calls for help, but is annoyed when Lydia shows up. Knowing about Lydia’s betrayal, Kim sends her packing – after she has helped her up, of course!
