All the cast exits, arrivals and returns What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? Thursday July 31 Robert was not the only angry one in the village, as Cain was hellbent on revenge against Joe, while Lewis tried to reunited Steph and Ross. Cain trashed the stables Believing that Joe Tate sent the thugs who broke into Butler's and scared Kyle, Cain was determined to get his revenge. At the Stables, Sam caught him attempting to free one of Kim's horses. Cain argued that Kim would be furious if she thought Joe had allowed her beloved horse to escape. When Sam stood in the way, Cain started throwing his weight – and a flowerpot – around. Cain soon discovered that Joe was innocent of this particular crime, but of course an apology wasn't forthcoming. Moira turned down Joe's new offer Following the revelation that Ray and not Joe sent the thugs to the farm, Joe paid Moira a visit. He offered Moira a rescue plan - he and Kim will buy the land and pay the fine from the slurry leak, but Moira and her family can carry on living there and running the farm. Moira refused the offer and said that she would rather starve than sell her land to Kim Tate. Lewis played matchmaker Lewis was feeling right at home in the cafe. After a chat with Nicola, Lewis decided it was his duty to get Steph and Ross back together. While Steph was working, Lewis did some digging about why she wasn't with his brother any more. He then got Ross there and had the two sit down and chat. Will his plan work? April helped Dylan April spotted Dylan in the village and chased him to the pavilion. She immediately realised that he had lied about having a flat-share in Hotten. She also saw his leg and told him he needed to go to A&E. April later lied to Belle that she had cramps and couldn't work, all the while she was collecting supplies to take to Dylan. Dylan soon admitted that it was a pitchfork that stabbed him, but April said she'd already worked out that he was the one Kyle stabbed. He then revealed how he had got into this mess, telling April that he really did get clean. However, the hostel they put him in was full of people using. He then met a guy - presumably Ray - who was nice and helped him. To return the favour, Dylan had agreed to go hunt around Butler's for more weed.
