There's a lot going on for Robron next week

Kev Townsend in Emmerdale has made it clear he will do whatever it takes to get Robert Sugden back – whatever it takes.

Tonight he produced a gun and was clearly plotting something. But what does he have up his sleeve? And will it put Robron at risk?

Emmerdale tonight – Robert and Aaron caught out

As Robert and Aaron continued to sneak around, they were caught out by Chas. She warned them: “It stops now” – desperate to protect Aaron from Kev’s violent nature.

Meanwhile, Kev himself had popped over to see Victoria. It turned out he is an expert crocheter and had made a jumper for Harry. See, he does have a soft side.

Vic was in the middle of looking for a piece of farm equipment, but she offloaded to Kev they couldn’t afford it. Kev immediately offered to lend Victoria the money.

Uncomfortable, Vic declined. But Kev wouldn’t take no for an answer. And money-grabbing Robert also wanted to accept the gift to ‘make Kev feel better’.

However Aaron wasn’t keen. In fact, he’s changed his tune completely from the man who suggested the whole sneaking around thing in the first place.

“I can deal with Kev, but I’m getting bored of all this sneaking around. Get it sorted Robert before it blows up in both of our faces,” he told his lover.

Kev has got a plan in Emmerdale

At the same time Kev went to see Liam. He told him he had some very good news. He is going to lend Victoria the £2k and he thinks they will be so grateful he and Robert will get back together and live happily ever after.

The slight problem? He doesn’t have the money. But he has a plan to get it. (Is this a good time to say we’re confused – we thought Kev was loaded…)

And then we saw Kev with a big black holdall out of which he pulled a gun. He commented that he “respects anyone with a plan” and looked grimly at the weapon. So what is he going to do with it?

Emmerdale spoilers for next week confirm Kev’s next move

It turns out that Kev commits another armed robbery – the thing that got him put inside in the first place. But hey, he’d do anything for love so is risking it all again.

Next week Robert wants to know where Kev has hidden his loot from the robbery. He tries to get the truth out of his husband, but Kev isn’t forthcoming.

He tells Robert that he doesn’t like being lied to. This makes Robert panic that Kev knows about him and Aaron and is biding his time for payback.

Later, Robert updates Aaron on the situation as they fear they’ll never find Kev’s swag. So instead they come up with a plan to get rid of Kev for good.

They update Chas on what they’re going to do and soon Liam arrives and start acting suspiciously. He soon confesses Kev was never terminally ill. The news makes Robron renew their determination to deal with Kev.

Later that day Kev is seen alone in the church as he pulls out a holdall with his spoils inside. But what he doesn’t realise is that Aaron is lurking nearby and has seen everything.

Aaron makes a call to Robert – and it’s not long before the police arrive on the scene. DS Carter hauls Kev down to the station, where he’s faced with questions about his role in the armed robbery.

Will Kev realise who was behind his arrest and take revenge? Or have Robron succeeded in their plan to get Kev put back behind bars?
