And fans are now desperate for him to confess so they can take Joe down together. Robert was put in a difficult position (Credit: ITV) Joe forced Robert to frame Moira in Emmerdale tonight Joe has video footage of Victoria stabbing John Sugden in the neck with a needle. He is using it to blackmail Robert into giving him his share of Moira’s farm. He also has Robert doing his bidding, including planting passports and ID cards for Celia’s forced workers at Butler’s so it looks like Moira was in on the whole human trafficking operation. Joe will then use Moira’s vulnerability to swoop in and take the farm for him and Kim. Robert at first refused to do what Joe wanted. But Joe told him what a mistake it would be. Then Aaron, who had been comforting Vic, unknowingly persuaded Robert to go through with it. He advised his lover to focus on keeping Victoria out of trouble and do what he had to. Totally unaware that meant framing Moira, Aaron was pleased when Robert agreed. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers So he then snuck into Moira’s to plant the evidence. Joe called him to check it was done and just as Robert was hanging up Moira came home and asked what the hell Robert was doing in her living room. Moira wants to know what Robert is doing there – will he tell her? (Credit: ITV) Moira and Robert to team up? So the question is whether Robert will tell Moira the truth or still go through with framing her. Fans are really hopeful it’ll be the former – and in fact want their alliance to bring down scheming Joe Tate. “Praying that Robert tells Moira everything,” said one on social media after the episode. Another went further: “It’d be great if Robert turned the tables on Joe, set him up as Celia’s partner, get him sent to prison.” “How I’m praying to the soap gods that Robert tells Moira, and of course Aaron! And that they will come up with a plan to throw everything right back at evil Joe! Come on Robert! We know you’re better than that!” added a third. We’re not holding out much hope though, if we’re honest, soap characters seem to find it pretty hard to tell the truth – after all this whole thing could be solved if Victoria just owned up to self-defence! The police take Moira away next week (Credit: ITV) Moira arrested in Emmerdale Next week it seems that things are getting worse for Moira when she is arrested for human trafficking. The police get a warrant to search her house and find incriminating evidence – which suggests Robert does go through with setting her up. Sigh. Despite Robert and Victoria trying everything to paint Moira in an innocent light during their police interview, Joe Tate has other ideas. He is less than complimentary about her and drops big hints she was involved with Celia’s dirty dealings. It makes the police act and when they find the evidence, Moira is taken straight in. Caleb gets Moira a good lawyer, but this time it might be too much to ask that she walks free. Will Robert step up and tell the truth?
