But fans have spotted something that they think could signal an unlikely saviour in the form of Ray. Are they right? Bob supported April at the police station, but wants to tell Marlon the truth (Credit: ITV) April in danger in Emmerdale April has been dealing drugs for Ray and Celia in order to pay back a debt she believes she has, but in fact they have made up. They having been trying to force her to have sex with men for money, but it has ended in disaster when she struck one of them, Callum, thinking she’d killed him. April still believes he is dead because of her, but in fact Callum is very much alive. Ray and Celia are using the threat of her being a murderer to control her further still. On Monday (November 17) April was arrested in Newcastle on drugs charges. She called her grandad Bob to come to her rescue and he was her appropriate adult in the interview room. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers April refused to answer any police questions and told them ‘no comment’. She was released without charge and threatened Bob if he told her dad she would never speak to him again. Celia was waiting for her at home with Ray and told Ray April needed dealing with. Celia convinced Bob to stay quiet (Credit: ITV) Tonight in Emmerdale In Tuesday’s Emmerdale Bob still wanted to tell Marlon the truth. Celia decided to step in and chatted to Bob ab0ut what was on his mind. Bob eventually confided in her that April had been arrested. Celia played it down and although she sympathised with him she told him it was minor. She encouraged him to realise April had chosen to confide in him and he shouldn’t break that trust or she might never do so again. Bob was thoughtful, but finally told April he would keep her secret. Celia then stopped in to see April herself. She told her: “You have just used up your final chance.” The chilling warning showed Celia really does mean business this time. But Emmerdale fans think they have spotted who will save April after a clue in this week’s scenes. They think Ray is close to turning on Celia and getting April away from danger. It comes from a look Ray gave his mum and an audible sigh when she threatened April again. “That looks and sigh from Ray suggests he’s had enough of Celia’s sheer nastiness towards April,” commented one viewer on social media. Another mused: “Judging by that look I wonder if Ray will end up being the one to save April in the end?” “I wonder if Ray will end up killing Celia to protect April?” suggested a third. A fourth replied to them: “Ooh! That would be nice. I like Ray – that could be his redemption arc before Ray goes to prison. And how poetic… Ray was saved by April’s mum and she died.
