And this week he also struck up a friendship with Vinny, helping him wow Gabby with his romantic gestures. But their friendship took a turn out of the blue in this evening’s episode when Vinny tried to kiss his new mate! What?! We know! We’re as baffled as you are. Luckily, we managed to track down Shebz Miah, who plays Kammy, and we asked him to explain this unexpected twist. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Vinny and Kammy joined forces to plan a surprise for Gabby (Credit: ITV) Kammy and Vinny have a brilliant relationship “Kammy’s sort of helping Vinny out,” Shabz started by explaining. “Vinny’s also helping Kammy out and they’ve got this brilliant relationship.” But somewhere along the line, Vinny gets his wires crossed? “I think because Kammy’s so playful and free spirited, alongside this journey that they’re having as friends together, Vinny misreads the signals,” says Shabz. “There’s a near miss in the sense of Vinny attempts to kiss Kammy, which is interesting.” Kammy and Vinny are an unlikely pairing (Credit: ITV) Shaking things up! Interesting is an understatement! Vinny’s actions are bound to have consequences. “Obviously, it shakes up a lot of things,” agrees Shabz. “Kammy knows that there’s a lot happening for Vinny, he’s getting married and the whole reason why they are doing the missions in Home Farm is for Gabby and to impress her. But on the other hand, there’s such a big thing where Vinny’s tried to kiss Kammy, it’s like something doesn’t add up here.” So is this the beginning of something more between the pair? Shabz is keeping tight-lipped for now. But he does say Vinny’s going on a “journey”. “Kammy realises that there’s a bigger issue at hand for Vinny because he’s going to such extreme lengths to impress for the anniversary,” he points out. “But on the other hand, he’s misread the signals and has tried to kiss Kammy.” Vinny is trying to impress Gabby (Credit: ITV) What happens next? And he adds that really the kiss isn’t the important thing here. “Kammy’s initial reaction is it’s not about the kiss, it’s more about the repercussions of everything else from this kiss,” Shabz says. Who knew Kammy was so wise? “I think it’s beautiful because Kammy and Vinny’s dynamic is they’re so different, even physically when you look at them,” muses Shabz. “Kammy does have a soft spot for Vinny and he does really want to help him and support him on this journey, however that is.” As well as Kammy and Vinny becoming good friends, Shabz is really enjoying working with Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny. “He’s so funny, so playful, he’s amazing to bounce off,” gushes Shabz. “When I see his name on the call sheet meaning we’re in scenes together it literally just makes my day because I know we’re going to have so much fun and we just joke about everything.” Read more: Who’s leaving Emmerdale?
