Fan theory predicts John to take the blame for Anthony murder in final act of nobleness

He might as well...

A new Emmerdale fan theory has predicted that John Sugden will take the blame for the murder of Anthony Fox.

John’s currently fearing that Nate Robinson’s body will be pulled out of the lake soon. Eek…

But, as the net closes in, will John end up taking the blame for another murder?

The net closes in on John in Emmerdale

Ahead of his wedding day to Aaron Dingle, John’s fearing that his whole world will come crashing down (and so it should!)

With the slurry leak contaminating the water supply in the village (John’s own doing), there have been talks of the lake being dredged.

And, we all know that Nate’s body is in that lake… Well, us viewers do anyway.

It’s only a matter of time before Nate is found and the police start investigating his mysterious death…

And, then there’s Belle, currently having huge suspicions that something isn’t right with Nate as she heads off to Shetland to get in touch with him. Are John’s actions finally catching up with him?

Fan theory predicts John will take blame for another murder

With John also heavily involved in Anthony Fox’s murder cover-up, one fan has predicted that Anthony’s body will also be found around the same time as Nate’s.

They then think that John will take the blame for Anthony’s murder. And, he’ll try to come off as a ‘hero’ in Aaron’s eyes. If he gets done for Nate’s death, he may as well take the blame for Anthony’s too, right? That’s if he genuinely loves Aaron at all…

A fan of Reddit wrote: “I think they’ll find Anthony’s body around the same time, and John will take the fall for that – he’ll let everyone think he killed him in order to protect Aaron. So after all the dark stuff he has done because of his hero complex, he will do something a little bit noble in the end.”

But, could John actually do something ‘good’ and stop Aaron, Ruby, Caleb, Steph and Cain from going to prison? Hmmm…
