Kelvin left the Dales in 2016 after Andy fled the country and went on the run from the police. Ryan Hawley, who plays Robert, followed him through the exit door in 2019 when his character was sent to prison. Last month, Robert Sugden returned and attempted to stop his ex, Aaron, marrying John Sugden. He was unsuccessful, but hasn’t given up the chase. And clearly Andy, nee Kelvin, is team Robron! The two shared a kiss, but it wasn’t enough to stop Aaron marrying John. Robert refused to give up though and has told John he knows he is hiding something, even accusing him of not really being a Sugden. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Understandably, John was not pleased to hear Robert would be sticking around. After Robert landed a job at the depot, John blackmailed Caleb into letting him go by telling Caleb to remember he got rid of Anthony’s body for him. This week, things took a further turn when Robert became the latest victim of John’s hero complex. Robert went on a date in The Hide in an attempt to make Aaron jealous, but things didn’t quite go to plan and Robert became the victim of spiking. John saw what happened and managed to intercept the situation. He sent Robert’s date packing before putting an unconscious Robert in the back of his van. Robert then awoke to see John standing over him with a syringe. While the pair are now pretending to be pals for Victoria’s sake, it’s obvious that they can’t stand each other. Andy actor Kelvin Fletcher responded: “Don’t trust him Robert I’m telling you.” This interaction delighted Emmerdale fans, who were quick to get involved. “You tell him Andy,” replied one fan, while another said: “Get yourself back in there Kelvin and help him take him down.” A third viewer said: “Come back Andy! 2 Sugdens against 1 would be awesome!” While a fourth added: “Yes kelvin, one of us.” A fifth fan wrote: “Need you back now.
