An eagle-eyed viewer wrote a detailed post on Reddit, in which they shared how many appearances, Caleb, Ruby and Steph Miligan have made since the start of May. Earlier this year, the Miligans were at the centre of the drama after Ruby’s dad Anthony Fox was killed amid the revelations that he abused Ruby and is Steph’s biological father. It was soon revealed he was Frank Tate’s secret son and he and son Nicky were out for revenge on Kim Tate. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Ruby soon joined her husband – just as he was embarking on an affair with Tracy Robinson. Since then, the drama has come thick and fast for the family. Last year, their estranged daughter Steph arrived in the Dales alongside Ruby’s father Anthony. In a special flashback episode, it was revealed that Anthony had abused his daughter when she was a teenager. This resulted in her getting pregnant with Steph. Caleb brought Steph up, but earlier this year, following Anthony’s death, she discovered the truth. The revelation shook her up and her most recent storyline saw her attempting to get plastic surgery in a bid to change her appearance. But since then, Ruby’s fight scene with Tracy aside, the Miligans have taken somewhat of a backseat. Taking to Reddit, one fan pointed out: “Since 5th May, this is the number of appearances they’ve had. Caleb: 13, Ruby: 10, Steph: 3.” While it’s fair to say they deserve a break after the year they’ve had, Emmerdale fans can’t help but miss the Miligans and ask why they have gone missing. Georgia, who plays Steph, confirmed the news last month by sharing photos of her baby bump. Writing on Reddit, the fan said: “I wonder if the writers had a lot planned, but had to change it due to Georgia’s pregnancy. I’m not sure how far along she is, but she’s got a very noticeable bump.” Other fans were also quick to comment, with some pointing out that it’s weird Caleb hasn’t been involved more since the discovery of Nate’s body given his connection to the Dingles. Though Caleb was present at Nate’s funeral in Thursday’s episode (July 17), he has avoided much of the heat that has befallen his half brother Cain. One viewer wrote: “I find it weird that they’ve completely avoided police questioning considering Caleb should have been a major suspect immediately.” A second fan agreed, writing: “I don’t understand it either. He was Nate’s most hated relative, or probably person. Even Ruby thought it was him.” Another fan was more understanding. They wrote: “Presumably they are on a well-deserved break after the big storyline. However, I miss them being in episodes as I find it far more enjoyable when they are.” With lots of loose ends still to tie up, including the whereabouts of Anthony’s body, we’re sure the Miligans will be at the centre of the action again before too long. He can tell the pair want to be together and encourages his brother to take action. But will Ross listen? Her return is set to be fleeting, however, because Steph actress Georgia Jay is pregnant with her first child. She is set to be going on maternity leave in the coming week.
