Nate’s death has finally been discovered, and it’s now brought battle lines to the village. Cain blames Tracy, and Tracy blames Cain. But nobody realises the true killer is right in front of them. And now that John Sugden has put Tracy right in the frame, some viewers believe Caleb may be next. But that’s not the only thing on fans’ minds. A lot of them want to know why exactly nobody in the village has asked how Nate died. They all know he was murdered. But nothing about a murder weapon or his cause of death has ever been mentioned. Could Caleb be on the police’s radar? (Credit: ITV) Caleb next to be framed? Taking to a Reddit thread, fans theorised who may get the blame next. And many think it’s Caleb, especially because he and Nate had a past in Emmerdale. One fan wrote: “It could be Caleb next, as even Ruby wondered if it was him. It would make sense as Nate hated him and might’ve wanted to get revenge.” article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Another agreed: “Caleb and Ruby will be questioned I think. Moira may be questioned as well.” A third penned: “Caleb seems most likely. Tracy had an affair with Caleb and Nate had tried to get back at him. The police may wonder if their feud escalated. From the police’s perspective there is no reason to consider John – a practical stranger to Nate.” But while Caleb looks likely to be questioned next, fans wonder if the police have been able to confirm what exactly John did to kill Nate. It was John who killed Nate… accidentally (Credit: ITV) How did John kill Nate in Emmerdale? John used a syringe of a strong kind of pain relief on Nate, thinking he was saving him after the fire. But he gave him too much, causing Nate to die there and then. However, there has been no mention of this to anyone in the village. All anyone seems to be saying is that Nate was murdered. One fan wrote: “I’m not sure if the police could ever reveal that it was pain relief that caused the death. If so, maybe Jacob could be blamed. It would be a shock twist if Cain accused Liam or Manpreet.” A viewer commented: “What do they believe the murder weapon was? Nate was 6’3 and muscular, so it would have taken a lot… or a simple injection. “The only taller character is Marlon and he would never be blamed and has no motive. Cain knows Caleb had a gun so if he thinks Nate was shot that could be another reason for him to get the blame.” John has gone to great lengths to protect his secrets (Credit: ITV) Can they work out the cause of death? However, one fan thinks it may be physically impossible for the police to discover what Nate’s cause of death was. They penned: “Can they forensically find out the cause of death was having a bad reaction to whatever drug he was injected with when the body has been in water for like nine months?
