Ever since it was revealed that Robert Sugden would be coming back to Emmerdale for good, fans believed that was proof the beloved Robron would reunite. But it’s been over six years since they were last together, and both have a lot of things they need to work through. And now fans are convinced it’s going to drag on for a little while longer. We’ve missed you Rob (Credit: ITV) Robert returns to Emmerdale Robert Sugden and Aaron hadn’t been a part of each others lives for six years. But it’s obvious that the love they had for each other has never fully gone away. Which makes sense as to why they kissed within minutes of Rob’s return. But the last lot of years have been difficult for both of them. Robert was sent to prison for the murder of Lee, who had abused Victoria. But while Aaron was ready to wait for him, Robert cut off all ties to the village. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Now, Robert has appealed his sentence, and spoilers show that he is heading back to Emmerdale intent on winning Aaron back. However, the main thing in his way is that Aaron just married his killer half-brother John. With Aaron adamant that John is the one for him, and nobody aware of John’s true nature, just how long could it be before Robert and Aaron are back where they belong? Well, fans think they have worked it out. Christmas time in Emmerdale is usually a huge deal, with many storylines wrapping up or beginning. And with Christmas having played a huge part in Robron’s relationship in the past – could it be when they reunite? When will Robron reunite? (Credit: ITV) Christmas reunion for Robert and Aaron? Taking to social media some fans predicted a Christmas reunion for Robron. One wrote: “Christmas day will see Robron reunited properly and the return of Anthony.” Another added: “With Robert coming back in the summer, I suspect this is going to drag on for a while as they’re not going to have Aaron single within five minutes of his return. At the very least I think they’ll drag it out until Christmas.” But that hasn’t pleased many fans, who were hoping for the former husbands to reunite before then. In the past, Aaron and Robert made it a tradition to wear extremely festive Christmas jumpers, after Paddy gifted them some one year. And a fan thinks the tradition will make a return this year. They wrote: “I’m wondering if Emmerdale will string out the Robron storyline. And they will get back together at Christmas. Of course, buying each other festive jumpers as presents.” Another aired their frustrations: “Can we round up this John storyline? It’s getting long winded and we know it can’t run into Christmas.” But another responded: “I bet they are going to drag it out until Christmas. That’s the problem with Emmerdale, they drag the storylines out too long.” Could Robron reunite under the mistletoe this year?
