More clues dropped in the Graham and Jodie saga in Emmerdale and Coronation Street: 'We're getting there'

Has Jodie's confession shed more light on the matter?

More breadcrumbs have been left in the trail leading us to the connection between Graham Foster in Emmerdale and Jodie Ramsey in Coronation Street.

Despite us having been given a brief explanation earlier this month, it was somewhat disappointing and we were left thinking there must be more to it.

Although Emmerdale has not referred to the subject again, Coronation Street did air a Jodie confession on Thursday, April 23 that could hint at what really went on between her and Graham.

Graham in Emmerdale and Jodie in Corrie

When Graham appeared alive and well in Corriedale on Monday January 5 he had an unknown woman tied up in his van.

During the crash, his van got caught up in the aftermath. Graham was then distracted after seeing Joe Tate and the woman escaped.

He was next seen at the hospital explaining to someone on the phone that she had got away. He terminated the contract.

We now know that woman was Jodie, the sister of Coronation Street’s Shona Platt. But we have absolutely no idea how she and Graham are connected.

Earlier this month, Rhona found Graham bloodied and bruised at the stables at Home Farm. He explained that when he came back to Emmerdale he was working for a gang to get rid of “a problem” for them.

“That problem was called Jodie,” he revealed. He never finished the job and called off the contract. This was his “punishment” for letting her escape.

Jodie hints at Graham connection in Corrie

In Coronation Street airing on Thursday April 23, Jodie perhaps shed more light on the matter. She had already told sister Shona that she was escaping from an abusive relationship. However, we know that story was stolen from a woman at a domestic violence support group.

Now, Jodie has confessed the girl who has recently turned up looking for her, Olivia, is the daughter of her abusive ex. Jodie claimed she was caught trying to escape with the hard drive and was bundled in the back of a van.

So does this lend weight to Graham being the abusive ex? Is Olivia his daughter? Or is Jodie lying again? Was Graham just hired by the dad? And if so, why have Emmerdale and Corrie come up with such a boring explanation?!

Fans excited

Fans certainly seem to think we are getting somewhere at last!

“So, Olivia’s criminal dad is likely the guy who hired Graham to ‘retrieve’ Jodie after she’d stolen an incriminating hard drive and how she ended up bound and gagged in the back of Graham’s van…we’re slowly getting there!” declared one viewer on social media.

Another surmised: “Also the two guys in the car who work for the girl’s dad must have been the ones who beat the [bleep] off of Graham.”

“So is that youngster Jodie just threatened Graham from Emmerdale’s daughter?” queried another.

Fingers crossed we don’t have to wait much longer to find all of this out!
