Aaron decided to change his mind and visited Robert Sugden in prison after all, and thank goodness he did. John also visited Robert shortly after, making for some very tense but enjoyable (and very Sugden filled) scenes. Robert and Aaron reunited (Credit: ITV) John and Aaron visited Robert in prison With Vic laying it on thick and telling Aaron Dingle that Robert really was in quite the state when she visited him at the prison, Aaron knew that he couldn’t not go. He then visited Robert and asked him why he wanted to see him. Robert then turned this question back around on Aaron though, making for an awkward encounter. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Robert then mentioned Liv and ‘their little family,’ with Aaron then blaming Robert for not getting in touch after Liv’s death. With Robert sporting a black eye, Aaron was concerned (and so were we), but he still tried to kid himself that his heart now lay with John. He’d moved on just liked Robert had wanted him to. After this visit, John Sugden paid a prison visit of his own to Robert. Robert enjoyed telling him all about his and Aaron’s kiss on the wedding day, with John then turning threatening. Sensing that John was hiding something, Robert then told him that he would be returning to the village and he’d be seeing a lot more of him. Great news… unless your name is John. Fans were treated to a great episode (Credit: ITV) Fans brand Robert prison episode ‘best in years’ With the ep providing us with lots of dramz, fans have now branded the scenes Emmerdale at its best. Taking to Reddit, one fan shared: “WHAT an episode! One of the best I’ve seen in a long time tbh. Such amazing acting by everyone. “The tension between John and Robert was so tangible I felt like I was sitting there next to them. And Robert growing more smug as he figured out what buttons to push was just chef’s kiss. “And Aaron saying he knew he couldn’t keep away if Rob was around. You know he’s the man for you yet you’re BREAKING HIS HEART (I love the angst).” Another fan took to X and wrote: “One of the best things to happen in a while.” A third agreed: “Robert coming back to Emmerdale is the best thing ever.” Another person on Reddit shared: “This episode made the Sugden brother feud for Aaron’s heart pretty entertaining to watch.
