Why is no one helping Bear – including the professionals? What’s going on with ALL the kids? And what is Graham’s game? All these are things that haven’t made sense to us in Emmerdale this week – do you have any ideas? Manpreet brushed Bear off (Credit: ITV) 1. Manpreet refusing to help Bear in Emmerdale this week We might not be medical professionals, but we’re pretty sure Manpreet is the worst doctor in Soapland history. When poor, suffering Bear came in to see her, explaining he was in pain and he couldn’t sleep, she didn’t help. At. All. Of course Ray had been feeding him painkillers and sleeping pills and he had developed an addiction to them, so she was quite right not to make that worse. But what sort of doctor would just send him away and tell him to get counselling. Because that’s how addiciton works. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Surely there’s some sort of process to bring him off them? Not just to tell a vulnerable, struggling old man to go cold turkey and chat to someone. Why didn’t she help him? Paddy needs to look in the mirror before shouting at everyone (Credit: ITV) 2. Why isn’t anyone helping Bear come to think of it? Actually, Manpreet isn’t the only one who isn’t helping Bear. Not one single person, Paddy included, is trying to deal with this properly. Long before now, Bear would have been sent to hospital for a psychiatric assessment. We’re not sure how he was passed fit for police questioning last week to be honest (unless Manpreet was the one who assessed him).Don't miss a single story! And this week, Aaron talked about his own experiences of abuse thinking it would help, Laurel took him to see Ray’s body thinking it would help and Paddy has yelled at everyone thinking that might help. Only none of it has. And then they all get in a fluster when he lashes out and breaks down over it. They all can see he is struggling and not coping, so why is no one doing anything about it? Graham is up to something, we’re sure (Credit: ITV) 3. Why is Graham being Joe’s servant? We’ve talked about this already this week, but really, why is Graham just allowing Joe to to treat him like this? There has to be a masterplan at work here because anything else will be a travesty. Graham has played dead for six years and got by quite nicely thank you very much. He does not need Joe Tate bossing him about now. This week Graham decided to back Cain and lied to Joe over it. It was because Graham discovered Cain has cancer. But Joe wasn’t very happy and told Graham he should have stayed dead. Instead of calling him the petulant child he is, Graham simply apologised. Why? What’s going on? We want proper Graham back, please. He’s all better (Credit: ITV) 4. What’s happened to Evan’s cancer? Another thing we’re still not over this week: has Emmerdale forgotten Evan was a seriously ill little boy not so long ago? Despite not having been seen or mentioned for months (who’s been looking after him?!) last week Dawn and Billy were seen ‘celebrating’ the ‘monumental news’ that Evan’s treatment is working. On Monday (February 23) Dawn and Kim talked about it and Evan was actually seen in the shot! Dawn said: “I just feel like I can enjoy him as a normal toddler, not a toddler going through leukaemia care.” So just like that Evan is cured. But has he been going through treatment for all these months? Who’s been taking him to the hospital? Who’s been caring for him while he suffered the horrendous side effects? It feels like Emmerdale forgot he had leukeamia and then remembered so threw in a scene to wrap it up asap. Dotty hasn’t been seen in ages (Credit: ITV) 5. Where is everybody in Emmerdale this week? Well, not just this week, but at all really. There are so many characters missing from storylines where they should at least be mentioned that it’s not even funny any more. For starters, who has been looking after Dotty while Arthur’s turned into the Devil’s spawn? Laurel never seems to have to take her to school or pick her up, she just seems to be permanently looked after by who knows. Same goes for Gabby’s sprog, Thomas. Perhaps he’s been locked in Evan’s room now he’s been allowed out? Other children MIA include Johnny Woodfield, Archie Breckle, Moses Dingle, Ivy Malcolms and all of Nicola and Jimmy King’s kids. And what about the animals? What has happened to Vinny’s dog, Chip, where does he live? And what about Piper – Belle hasn’t walked her in months as far as we know. After all the tears over getting her back, you’d think Belle would be a bit more into her, wouldn’t you? Read more: Who’s leaving Emmerdale?
