Wild new theory predicts that someone is after Emmerdale villagers’ organs - but it’s not Joe

Watch out, there's an organ thief about
Joel Harley

A new Emmerdale fan theory has posited that there’s an organ harvester about – and it’s not Joe Tate. Sick Joe is currently hard at work trying to save his own life by replacing his dodgy kidney with a healthy one – that of blood relative Caleb.

As he confirmed this week, a relative’s kidney gives a lesser chance of rejection than a stranger, hence his pursuit of uncle Caleb and half-brother Noah. We know Joe’s motives, but a new fan theory has suggested that there might be another organ thief in town  – and that they killed Nate.

But who might Emmerdale’s mystery psycho surgeon be?

Nate victim of organ theft – and it wasn’t Joe, Emmerdale fan predicts

Writing on X this week, fans debated how and why Nate might have been killed. And some wondered whether he too had been the victim of a shady bit of underground surgery.

“Just a thought- has Nate been the victim of a transplant operation?” asked one fan.

And another was quick to jump in with their own thoughts, speculating who exactly might have been responsible for such a crime. And, surprise surprise, it was John’s name being bandied around again.

“Could be an interesting theory, John being linked to stealing organs too, finding convenient others. Nate who was conveniently leaving and if Anthony wasn’t actually dead when John took him. Maybe for less survivable transplants,” wrote one fan.

What’s John up to?

John has been the talk of the town since arriving in Emmerdale last year. Many are convinced that he’s up to something, with persistent rumours of his being a serial killer not going anywhere fast.

Whether he killed Nate or not remains to be seen, but he’s now viewers’ number one suspect for having ‘drugged’ Chas. She passed out this week after an apparent overdose, but viewers are convinced that there’s more at play.

Many have wondered whether he might have messed with Chas’ medication in an attempt to get into her good books. Serial killer, organ thief, or try-hard future son-in-law? What’s John’s game exactly?
