Bear Wolf Robert Sugden Share By Carena Crawford Jul 25 2025 By Carena Crawford Jul 25 2025 Well, it’s been another huge week on Emmerdale – and it’s just going to keep on coming as spoilers for the next few months reveal the drama isn’t going to stop! On screen this week we saw Robert Sugden work out the truth about John killing Nate and faking Owen’s suicide note. Then there was delight as Sarah and Jacob got engaged. Also, Mack gave Charity an ultimatum over her surrogacy plans, but eventually came round to the idea – or so he pretended. And, Moira found out exactly what Joe Tate is really like after he offered to buy her farm. And we already know from spoilers for Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1 there’s plenty more drama next week Moira attacks Joe – and gets arrested. Beyond this we can look forward to watching some big storylines reach crunch point, some familiar faces return to the village – and some brand new characters sweep in to stir up some trouble. Read on for our pick of the best upcoming Emmerdale spoilers… John is struggling with his guilt in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV) 1. John to be exposed – soon The walls are very definitely closing in on John and we know his end must be coming really soon. Tracy and Cain were on his case until DS Walsh revealed there had been a confession to Nate’s murder. But Cain doesn’t seem convinced. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Also on John’s case is Robert Sugden. He doesn’t trust his half-brother one little bit. He’s worked out exactly what happened with Owen – John framing him – and has gone to the police. But the cops don’t seem interested – for now. Robert isn’t giving up though – mind you, neither is John, who is determined to bring Robert down as well. And, Paddy has also become involved when he started counselling John on a forum – albeit anonymously for now. Oliver Farnworth, who plays John, recently said he was on a year’s contract – which would be up in August 2025, so it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer. Moira finds herself under arrest (Credit: ITV) 2. Prison for Moira? Things are not looking good for Moira on the farm. Next week she is threatened by intruders and gets into an altercation with Joe Tate. The fight leads to Lydia accidentally getting hit. Next thing she knows Moira is arrested and told her case isn’t looking good. So could the future hold a spell behind bars for Moira? Joe certainly wants rid of her to get his hands on her land and this would be the perfect way to do it. After all, he’s not stranger to bribing people to get what he wants, so why wouldn’t he in this case? Steph will disappear for a while (Credit: ITV) 3. Farewell Steph With fans questioning: ‘where are the Miligans‘? in the coming weeks they will return again – only for Steph to leave once more. Steph will appear on screen next week as Lewis tries to matchmake her back together with Ross! He can tell the pair want to be together and encourages his brother to take action. But will Ross listen? Her return is set to be fleeting, however, because Steph actress Georgia Jay is pregnant with her first child. She will be going on maternity leave in the not-too-distant future. A source told The Sun: “Everyone’s thrilled for Georgia and can’t wait to see her back when she’s ready. “Steph’s exit will happen in the next few weeks and see her flee abroad in typically dramatic fashion. “But with Anthony’s body still out there, there’s a huge storyline still to be wrapped up for when she returns.” Things will work out for Belle (Credit: ITV) 4. New love for Belle Eden Taylor-Draper has also revealed there is romance around the corner for Belle Dingle. You might have thought she’d steer clear of all love interests after her abusive marriage to Tom King, but it seems she will be ready to get back in the water before too long. During a recent appearance on This Morning, Eden suggested happiness was on the horizon. “Yeah. I mean – I have been in work recently – yesterday actually – and I had a really fun day, working with someone. So, yeah,” she teased hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley. Some fans are convinced Billy is the man she will move on with, but we will just have to wait and see. Bear can’t find the courage to contact Paddy (Credit: ITV) 3. Bear’s mysterious behaviour explained in Emmerdale spoilers Bear Wolf has been acting oddly. Theories are floating around over what’s wrong with him – from dementia, to depression, but so far all we’ve seen is him being extremely aggressive with Paddy. After Paddy gave him to boot for saying some unforgiveable things, we now know Bear is not in Ireland as presumed. In fact, he is far away from anywhere and not close to reconnecting with Paddy. So where is he? And what’s really happened? Show boss Laura Shaw has already revealed this will become a “big storyline”. “He’s going off screen for a little while,” she told Emmerdale Insider and other press. “He’ll go missing and when he comes back what you’ll see is a very different Bear in a very different situation. “We’re all going to be watching going: ‘what the hell has happened here?'” Given that’s already what we’re thinking, we can’t get much more confused! What does the future hold for Vanessa and Charity? (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) 4. Charity’s marriage under pressure – and a possible Vanity reunion? Poor Sarah Sugden has really been through it – Fanconi anaemia, throat cancer and now cervical cancer. She is taking it all in her stride, though and focusing on her desire to become a mum. At least she was until she discovered she’d had to have an emergecy hysterectomy. It destroyed her baby dreams and she was distraught. But she decided on surrogacy and gran Charity offered to carry the baby for her. However given Charity has refused to have a baby with husband Mackenzie, he wasn’t happy at all. He gave her an ultimatum: the surrogacy or their marriage, but then backtracked and pretended he was supporting them. So Charity’s marriage is on the rocks and coupled together with more scenes between her and Vanessa, some fans hope their split could pave the way for a potential reunion for Charity and Vanessa. Emma Aktins recently spoke about this possibility: “I think when they do have scenes together, there’s always that potential for an opening again, a reconnection, because they get on so well as friends. “There’s always that spark and you never know… It’s a joy to work with Michelle (Hardwick). So either way it’s a win win.” She added: “I just don’t know at the moment in time what they’ll do with the pair, but I can definitely see an opening happening already because there’s been dialogue between them.” If Emmerdale did smug (Credit: ITV) 5. Aaron and Mack’s big storyline Although we don’t know how long John Sugden and Aaron will stay married for, what we do know is that headed into autumn, Aaron has a big storyline coming up. It involves Mackenzie Boyd and we’ll finally see the outcome of Mack’s flashforward. Laura Shaw said: “It’s a big week of episodes which is going to be life-changing for those two.”. So any guesses on what it could be? Something tells us it might be to do with one of the newcomers arriving in town… Is Bernice’s return welcome? (Credit: ITV) 6. Bernice’s return for Gabby and Vinny’s wedding, Emmerdale spoilers report So Vinny has tried to kiss Kammy. Which is surprising within itself, but also not that surprising given Gabby’s history with gay men (see previous fiancé Nicky) – and her mum’s perchant for getting involved with them too. But now Vinny has committed fully to Gabby – and is even bringing the wedding forward as quickly as he possibly can. Because that’s not suspicious at all, Vin. Bernice is set to be returning for it. This has not been confirmed by the soap as yet, but will she be welcome if she does return? Phew, we told you – an explosive few months of Emmerdale to look forward to.
