Marlon and Donna buy a house!

It’s the day of the auction and Marlon and Donna are nervous, worried things won’t go their way. But of course, the Dingles are ready to play dirty to make sure the young couple are successful! They mingle among the bidders, and spread rumours of hauntings and subsidence to put off any potential buyers! And Zak takes things even further when he ties Eric up to stop him bidding!

David does his best to help his missing dad but Marlon and Donna win out, and they finally have a home of their own.

Classic Emmerdale: Diane’s in too deep

Diane tries to hide her disappointment when an awkward Billy says he can’t make it to her birthday party.  She throws herself into the celebrations in an attempt to hide her feelings.

But as the karaoke gets going and Diane gets up to sing, she’s embarrassed when Billy walks into the pun, and pulls the plug. Billy talks her into carrying on, and she does – but not before the pair’s eyes meet and they share a moment.

The next day, Diane wakes up on her birthday to be showered with gifts by Jack and she’s chuffed. Later he takes her out to the casino and they’re joined by Billy and Val.

Diane is touched when Billy gives her a Dusty Springfield CD and when the night is over they end up alone in the pub. Billy admits he’s attracted to Diane, and she’s flattered.

Despite her birthday being a success, Diane is acting strangely around Billy and it’s not long before Gray notices. He is curious when he notices the tension so he quizzes Diane and soon works out that Billy has fallen for her.

Making a tricky choice

Sticking his nose in, Gray suggests that Diane should choose where her loyalties lie and she agrees. So she corners Billy and makes it clear that nothing can happen between them. Later, Diane and Jack spend a cosy evening together and she’s pleased she’s made the right choice.

But things are still awkward, and struggling to keep away from Billy, Diane takes a drastic decision: she books a holiday to the Caribbean for her and Jack! When Val finds out, she’s disgruntled and insists to Billy that they get away too.

Diane’s disappointed when Jack says he might have to postpone their holiday because Andy has an important inspection coming up and he’s promised to help him with the paperwork.

He tells her they can get a refund and go away in a few weeks’ time but Diane sulks. And when Val and Billy talk about their holiday plans, Diane’s put out. But when Billy admits he’d rather go on holiday with her than with Val, the pair almost kiss!

Classic Emmerdale: Louise and Jamie get saucy!

And there’s more than a moment between Louise and Jamie as they get passionate!

But the next morning, Louise is worried about the village gossips. When Terry calls to her, she makes Jamie hide in the wardrobe! They can’t resist going back to bed though and later they still can’t resist each other.

They agree to keep their affair a secret. Wanting to impress, Jamie arranges a date in the ice cream van with champagne and strawberries! Louise is thrilled, until Donna comes across them! She swears her to secrecy but Jamie is hurt that Louise seems to be embarrassed about their blossoming romance.

Terry has daddy issues

Terry settles down to watch the Jeremy Kyle show only to be shocked when he realises his dad, Duke, is one of the guests!

Louise is saddened when Duke admits to being bullied by local hooligans and suggests Terry help out, but Terry is reluctant to help his estranged father.

When Bob finds out about Terry’s dad, he wants to know more, but Terry is prickly. And when Bob asks questions about why Terry and his dad don’t speak, Terry is clearly reluctant to spill the beans. Though he does reveal that Duke has no idea that he has a grandson. Bob isn’t impressed. He tells Terry that Duke has a right to know about TJ.

Feeling guilty, Terry decides to visit his dad and he’s shocked when he arrives at the house to see boarded-up windows and smoke damage, and his dad nowhere to be seen.

He chats to Duke’s neighbour, who reveals that Duke has been arrested! She explains he’d snapped after being harassed by local kids and had hit one of the youngsters and was nicked! Duke is released without charge and Terry asks him to stay with him in Emmerdale.

Classic Emmerdale: Duke settles in

Things get off to a bad start, though, when Duke sees a picture of Dawn and comments she was much too young for Terry! But despite him annoying his son, Duke’s a hit with the villagers, and Bob’s delighted to meet TJ’s other grandfather.

But the tension between Terry and his dad continues when Terry keeps TJ away from nursery because he’s come down with cold.

Duke is positive that all TJ needs is some fresh air so he takes him out to the park, against Terry’s wishes. Terry’s not impressed but when Duke apologises the father and son reach an uneasy truce.

Later, Terry can’t cope with Duke holding court in the pub, spouting his opinions on politics and crime, and walks out. Duke’s annoyed but Louise gives him a piece of her mind and tells him how much Terry’s been struggling since Dawn died. Duke agrees to go easy on him.

Pearl’s not giving up – yet

Pearl and Edna continue their sit-in and they’re left in the dark when the bailiffs cut the electricity off! But the women aren’t about to give in, not even when Ashley tries to talk them into leaving. David suggests that Eric offers her Pearl her old job back to encourage her to leave but Eric has other ideas. He tampers with the plumbing instead!

With no electricity and no water, the women struggle on but it’s clear they’re not going to last much longer. Eric feels a pang of guilt as he agrees to have a word with the council on Pearl’s behalf,  but meanwhile he is secretly telling bailiffs Norm and Lenny to get rid of her. Poor Pearl finally admits defeat when the house is flooded.

Rosemary steps up her sinister behaviour!

Perdy is grateful when Rosemary offers her emotional support, but is her mother-in-law someone to trust?

Later, Perdy rearranges the furniture and Gray’s annoyed when some important work documents go missing. He blames Perdy for moving things round, as she tears the house apart trying to find them. She’s bemused when Rosemary finds the documents under a cushion. But it’s too late for Gray, who’s missed a vital meeting.

The next day, Gray takes Perdy for a romantic picnic, but Perdy’s crushed when Rosemary reveals it was all her idea. Later, Rosemary encourages Gray to give Katie some advice about her divorce, knowing Perdy will be unsettled by seeing her husband with Katie. Her plan works like a charm.

Later, with Perdy worried about her mental health, Rosemary offers some comfort. She books Perdy an appointment with the doctor and she encourages her to have a drink to calm her nerves, despite Perdy protesting that she’s on medication.

When a slightly woozy Perdy arrives at the surgery she is confused to be told that her appointment is the following day. She goes home in a daze, and crashes out. But when Gray arrives and wakes her up, Perdy’s upset to find out there’s a dent in their car that she has no recollection of causing.

Later, Perdy insists on cooking dinner but a cruel Rosemary feeds her another of her pills making her confused and vague. She manages to make Perdy lock herself out and when Gray comes home he finds Perdy hammering on the door, wanting to be let in, while Rosemary deals – dramatically – with a burning pan!

Perdy’s upset when Katie tells her the stables are running fine without her.

Sharon and Val come to blows in Classic Emmerdale

Sharon and Kelly go head-to-head as they compete for a Foxy Cosmetics modelling contract. But Val’s nicotine withdrawal is making her grumpy and she bickers with Sharon about the job.

Later, Diane tells her to give Sharon her support but she’s already sniping at Paul about spending too much time with his sister. After a discussion, Val agrees to apologise to Sharon but they end up in another row.

Val plays a prank on Sharon by putting dog hair on her dress, knowing she’s allergic. Sharon goes to her audition with streaming eyes and a snotty nose. She twigs that it was her mum who sabotaged her and confronts her at Paul’s first event. The argument that follows turns into a food fight and Paul’s furious!

Sharon decides it’s time she left the village and she tries to talk Paul into coming with her.

Kelly tells a big lie to land a job

Kelly’s annoyed when despite the disastrous audition, Sharon lands the modelling contract. She threatens to sack her agent, Ricky. But Ricky reveals that he’s got a much better deal for her, working as a promotions girl touring the world with a motor racing team, Team Fortissimo. The only catch? She’s got to be single, because the team don’t like the girls to be loved-up.

Jimmy’s worried when an excited Kelly lies to Ricky that she’s unattached. But she reassures Jimmy that she still wants to marry him – she just wants to delay the wedding plans until she gets back from the tour.

Classic Emmerdale: Paddy’s unhappy birthday

When Paddy gets a birthday card from Toni, Rita vows to make his big day a special one. She organises a surprise party at The Woolpack and swears Diane and the others to secrecy.

But at the party, Paddy’s unimpressed by Rita’s efforts. He sulkily hides in the kitchen but Donna and Marlon try to persuade him to join in. Rita’s hurt and storms off, leaving his present – a pair of stripper’s tassels!

Classic Emmerdale: Carl’s struggling to resist Chas

Meanwhile, at the party, Carl turns down Chas’s advances and she snogs Eli to make him jealous! Then, when that doesn’t work, she follows Carl into the toilets and begs him to give their relationship a chance. Carl gives in to her kisses at first. But when Chas says they need to work together to make sure Rosemary goes down for Tom’s murder, he panics. He pushes her away.

Elsewhere, Viv enters the twins into the Hotten Courier’s beautiful baby competition. And the Kings aren’t happy when Carrie sticks her nose into the business.
