By Helen Fear | Wed Apr 30 2025

Beyond Paradise series 3 comes to a rather bittersweet ending this week, as the final episode says hello to a returning character in the cast, and goodbye to someone special, too.

The latest run of the popular Devon-set detective series comes to a satisfying - if sad - close on Friday (May 02, 2025).

When nurse Lucy vanishes on her way to work, suspicion falls on Josh Woods - PC Kelby Hartford's rival. However, after Josh receives a chilling voicemail, the team starts to suspect that something far more sinister is at play...

Here's everything you need to know about the guest cast of Beyond Paradise series 3 episode 6, the final instalment.

Beyond Paradise series 3 episode 6 guest cast: Chris Jenks returns as Josh Woods

Chris Jenks returns to the cast of Beyond Paradise as roguish Josh Woods - and PC Kelby Hartford isn't pleased to see him. In fact, Kelby finds himself chasing Josh through the streets of Shipton Abbott, in an almost exact recreation of the very first episode of Beyond Paradise in 2023.

Josh's partner, Lucy, has vanished on her way to work after crossing 'the Devil's Hump' on the road out of town. At first suspicions fall on Josh. However, the team begin to think differently after she left a chilling voicemail on Josh's phone.

In the recording, Lucy can be heard shouting "devil" followed by a beastly growl. Could the legend of the Devil's Hump hold a vital clue to solving her disappearance?

Of course, Beyond Paradise fans will know that Chris Jenks has appeared as Josh Woods before - in series 1's episodes 1 and 4. He fast become PC Kelby's nemesis.

In the very first episode, Josh Woods stole a bottle of perfume for his girlfriend's birthday. He became the first person ever to be arrested in Beyond Paradise. PC Kelby Hartford arrested him, and he was subsequently interviewed by DI Humphrey Goodman and DS Esther Williams.

Josh went on to steal 12 red cars in a single day in a bid to make a red heart out of the vehicles outside the window of his girlfriend's work. A romantic criminal!

Later that same series, in episode 4, Josh Woods was a suspect again when Humphrey investigated a murder within a crop circle. He also appeared in the Beyond Paradise Christmas Special 2023.

What else has Chris Jenks been in?

Scottish actor Chris Jenks, 36, has been on our screens since 2016, when he played Carlton Dyer in one episode of Doctors. He went on to play Jamie in The Athena, a role he played from 2018 to 2019.

He subsequently played Steve Morley in Sex Education between 2019 and 2022, which remains his most famous role to date. Steve Morley was one of the recurring characters, a new student at Moordale Secondary School who became Aimee's boyfriend.

Other notable roles include Archibald Cosmos in Miracle Workers. More recently, Chris played DC Jason Murray in Karen Pirie, a role he will reprise in the upcoming series 2. He also played Callum Barker in the cast of Vigil series 2 in 2024 opposite Suranne Jones. His character had a crucial role in the storyline.

In 2025, as well as reprising his role of Josh Woods in Beyond Paradise series 3, Chris will play Lefors in the upcoming TV series Robin Hood, in which Sean Bean portrays the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Chris will also play the lead role in My Darkest Hour, a short comedy-documentary film written by Chris, which follows self-professed darkness expert Anthony Snatch.

Who else appears in the cast?

Eva Feiler stars as nurse Lucy, Josh's girlfriend, who disappears in suspicious circumstances on her way to work.

Like Chris Jenks, the actress has played the character in several episodes of Beyond Paradise before. Eva is probably best known for portraying Bella Tatar in the Disney+ drama We Were the Lucky Ones, a drama about a Jewish family determined to survive and reunite after being separated in WW2.

She's been on our screens since 2016, and has popped up as supporting roles in episodes of Urban Legends, Father Brown, The Archers, and The Crown - where she portrayed a young Margaret Thatcher.

Amalia Vitale stars as Hannah Owen. This will be her sixth time playing the character across the three seasons. The Devonshire actress is best known for playing Anya in the comedy Big Mood, Ganush in Willow, Annie the Punk in Trying, and Suzy Flett in Endeavour.

Murray McArthur portrays Trent Morgan. As you'd expect from a man whose beard is the main feature on his face, Murray is known for playing Ammred in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. He also portrayed Brian in menopause comedy The Change.

The equally beardy Dean Nolan stars as Steve Banley. He's known for playing Prince Reggio Haratis in House of the Dragon, Tarzinsky in The Great, and Ogborn in Britannia.
