Coronation Street twist as ITVX episode reveals who’s really behind Hope Dobbs’ online abuse
Her own sister is to blame
The identity of Hope Dobbs’ online troll has finally been revealed in Coronation Street, and it’s her own sister.
Today’s ITVX early release episode (Friday, November 7) confirmed fan suspicions as Ruby Dobbs was revealed to be responsible.
And, in a huge twist, Tyrone agreed to keep Ruby’s cover from the rest of the family.

Hope received another horrible message in Coronation Street
Hope has been struggling for weeks after becoming the target of a mystery online troll.
Cruel messages about her looks left her feeling insecure, leading her to steal so-called ‘miracle pills’ from a salon client in a desperate attempt to feel prettier. Bethany Platt reassured her, reminding Hope that she was beautiful inside and out.
Eventually, Hope confided in Fiz about the bullying, admitting she’d wrongly accused Jake Windass of being behind the nasty messages. After seeing him laughing in the salon, she jumped to conclusions, but Jake’s only secret was a crush on her.
With the real troll still active, another message arrived today – and this one revealed a lot.

Ruby confirmed to be behind Hope abuse
In today’s Coronation Street early-release episode on ITVX, Ruby vented to Tyrone and Fiz that her classmates were teasing her for having a ‘cringey and clapped’ phone.
Tyrone gently explained that money was tight and they couldn’t afford a new one right now.
Later, Hope received another cruel message on her phone and showed it to Tyrone. He was stunned when he spotted the same ‘cringey and clapped’ phrase and instantly realised who was behind the trolling.
Keeping his discovery quiet, Tyrone confronted Ruby Dobbs privately. She eventually confessed, admitting she was jealous of Hope, who always seemed to get what she wanted because of her difficult dad. Ruby even blamed Tyrone’s recent accident on going out to buy Hope new trainers.
Tyrone promised to keep her secret from Hope and Fiz, but only if Ruby stopped sending the nasty messages. Still, how long can he keep the truth hidden?
