Emmerdale continues emotional storyline as Dylan and April go against Ray’s orders again next week
Dylan is risking everything by defying RayApril and Dylan are more trapped than ever by Celia and Ray in Emmerdale. And next week’s spoilers show that no matter what they do, Ray will always be there breathing down their necks.
Is there any way at all for the teens to get away? And will Dylan’s move next week only serve to make things worse?

Emmerdale tonight: April ran for her life
In Friday’s (October 17) episode, April once again found herself at Ray’s mercy after refusing a previous job. This time, she agreed to deliver drugs at a hotel — but Ray made it very clear this was no ordinary drop.
Inside, sleazy Tim wasted no time making April uncomfortable, offering her vodka and drugs before his real intentions became sickeningly obvious. Thinking fast, April pretended to want cocaine, then bolted from the hotel before things turned even darker.
But escape didn’t mean freedom. Celia was waiting — disturbingly calm as she comforted the tearful teen, promising to sort everything out with Ray and Tim. Then came the sting: Celia warned that now April knows what’s expected of her, she’ll do it next time ‘like a good little girl.’
Terrified and silenced, April was left completely alone — banned from confiding in Dylan.

Emmerdale spoilers for next week: Dylan defies Ray
Next week, things take another sinister turn. Marlon is desperate to reach out to April, but she shuts him out, terrified that Celia’s threats will extend to her dad. So Marlon tries a different route — getting closer to Dylan instead.
Offering him a shift in the Woolpack kitchen, Marlon hopes Dylan might open up about April’s strange behaviour. But Dylan is just as deep in trouble — and even he doesn’t realise how bad things have got for his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Dylan’s thrilled when Paddy gifts him a rally driving experience as a reward for passing his test. Unfortunately, Ray has other ideas. He reminds Dylan he’s got work to do — and when Dylan’s caught snooping in Caleb’s office for driving schedules, it’s clear Ray’s pulling every string.
Though Dylan manages to complete the job, he finally stands up to Ray, refusing the next one so he can go driving with Paddy. But Ray isn’t backing down, warning Dylan his debt is only growing.
Both teens are caught in Ray and Celia’s web — and it’s tightening by the day. Can April and Dylan ever break free before something truly terrible happens?
