Ray forces April to leave Emmerdale as the ITVX early release reveals a new twist in her storyline
There's more to come for April*WARNING: This article contains April spoilers for the episode airing on Wednesday November 5 that has not shown on ITV yet, but is already available on ITVX and YouTube.
In the ITVX early release for Wednesday, November 4, Emmerdale confirms April Windsor is being sent out of the village under Ray’s orders. It comes as her storyline continues to grow increasingly more dangerous.
The latest episode follows directly on from Tuesday’s special standalone instalment, in which April visited Marlon and imagined the consequences of telling him the truth about everything she has been experiencing. After picturing Ray shooting Marlon, April walked away believing she could not risk revealing the truth.
In tonight’s episode we get to see Ray’s next move. It forces April into a new direction, but then it’s followed by another unexpected twist.

Ray piles the pressure on April
April’s situation has worsened considerably since she first became involved with Ray and Celia. Initially, she delivered drugs for them, but soon found herself told she was in debt after losing some of them at knifepoint. Of course, this was set up by Ray to have her where he wants her.
This pushed her further into drug dealing. Later it crossed into situations where she was expected to meet clients for more than just drug drops.
When April attempted to do so last week with Callum, she panicked and struck him with a bottle, believing she had killed him. She contacted Ray, who removed the body. Celia then told April she now “owned” her. It left April deeply fearful of the consequences of her actions and what was to come next.

ITVX early release of Emmerdale sees an April exit – and another twist
In the newly released episode, available now on ITVX and YouTube, Ray informs April that he is sending her to Newcastle for a job. He claims it is best for her to be away from the village. He also insists she move on from what happened with Callum.
Ray assures her the job will involve drugs and not sex work, though April remains visibly uneasy. When she tells Marlon she is travelling to Newcastle to look at a university, he accepts her explanation without questioning her sudden interest, unaware that she is being pushed into the situation.
As April prepares to leave, the episode concludes with a further twist. While the details are not revealed to avoid spoilers, it is clear that Ray is not being entirely honest with her.
The new development confirms another secret in the storyline that is yet to unfold. It could be the key to April’s escape – or it could cost her even more.
Can April ever be safe? Will Ray and Celia continue their hold over her? And can she ever get away?
