Who appeared on It Takes Two tonight?

Fleur and Janette interviewed three celebrity couples on the first show.

First up, Nikita Kuzmin and Amber Davies sat down with Fleur. On Friday, September 26, it was announced that Amber was replacing Dani Dyer after she was forced to quit due to an injury.

Amber revealed she had only been asked to replace Dani on the Thursday night before the first live show in Saturday. The following morning at 9am, she was in the rehearsal studio with Nikita, with just one day to learn their first dance.

Despite facing backlash due to her previous dancing experience, Amber said that “Ballroom and Latin are worlds apart from what I’ve experienced on a West End stage.” She admitted it was “a lot harder” than she thought it would be.

This Saturday (October 4), they will perform a samba.

Johannes Radebe and Alex Kingston then joined Janette on the couch, only to tell viewers that they will also be performing a samba on the same night.

For the show’s Choreography Corner segment, Joanna Clifton critiqued each of the 15 celebrities. Karen Hauer and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey later revealed they will be taking on the quickstep this weekend.

On Sunday night’s first Strictly elimination, one couple will be eliminated following the series’ first public vote.
