Is there a series 3 of The Marlow Murder Club?
Yes, The Marlow Murder Club series 3 is currently in the works.
Broadcaster UKTV confirmed this news in late May 2025. It was also revealed that filming for new episodes is currently underway. According to reports, the production is setting its sights on creating new stories with more “intrigue, wit and mystery solving”.
UKTV’s Director of Drama Programming, Emma Tibbits shared her excitement about the show’s return. “We cannot wait to bring viewers a third series of The Marlow Murder Club,” she said.

Who’s in the cast?
Fans will be pleased to learn that the show’s leading ladies will all return.
Samantha Bond is back as retired archeologist-turned-homemade-detective Judith Potts. Downton Abbey fans will no doubt recognise her as Lady Rosamund Painswick, sister to Hugh Bonneville’s Robert Crawley, in the ITV period drama.
Bond will be joined by Doctor Who star Jo Martin. She plays Suzie Harris, a local dog walker who gets pulled into Potts’ cases. In addition to the Tardis, fans may known Martin best from her time as Max McGerry on Holby City, or her roles in 2020’s Small Axe episode Education.
Together, their group is rounded out by vicar’s wife Becks Sterling, played by Cara Horgan. Her career has included roles in Netflix fantasy The Sandman, and Channel 4 hit comedy Peep Show.
Meanwhile, stage and screen actor Natalie Dew will be back as DS Tanika Malik, the detective forced to admit the Murder Club’s unconventional methods are actually pretty good. Her previous work includes roles in 2024 spy thriller Alex Rider, and Netflix sci-fi thriller Bodies.
Viewers will also be reunited with other series regulars. These include Agatha Raisin star Holi Dempsey, and Miss Scarlet actor Phill Langhorne. They play coppers DC Alice Hackett and DC Brendan Perry respectively.
Shadow and Bone’s Tijan Sarr will also return to Marlow as DC Jason Kennedy.

What is the plot of The Marlow Murder Club series 3?
With work on new episodes still in its early stages, much of the secrets lurking within series 3 are still locked away. That said, the brains behind the show have teased some tantalising tidbits about what we can expect from new episodes.
After spending the first two series cracking crimes, Marlow’s finest amateur detectives are now an official part of the local police. Working closely with the authorities, they’ll be “bringing their unconventional methods to a string of high-profile murders”.
Speaking of which, things only seem to get murkier in Marlow.
In series 3, Judith, Suzie and Becks will have their work cut out for them trying to unpick “the sudden death of the nicest man in Marlow, the town’s beloved mayor”. They’ll also have to grapple with “a celebrity chef found dead at the launch of his cookbook with half the town in attendance”.
Things will get extra-spooky when an investigation at an old manor house leads to Becks becoming an unlikely suspect. Could one of their own be a culprit? We’ll have to wait and see.
How many episodes will there be?
The Marlow Murder Club series 3 will consist of six, hour-long episodes. Each of its mysteries will span two episodes, leaving Potts and co with three cases to solve in total.
Broadcaster UKTV also revealed that the first two episodes of series 3 will be a direct adaptation of Thorogood’s third book in his popular mystery series. Entitled Queen of Prisons, this two-parter will also be co-written by the author.

Is there a start date for The Marlow Murder Club series 3?
With production still in its early stages, The Marlow Murder Club series 3 remains without a concrete release date.
However, when it does arrive, fans in the UK will find it on U&Drama. Don’t worry if you’re in the United States. American viewers can watch new episodes on the PBS channel Masterpiece.
While we don’t have a solid ETA, it could be safe to assume that new episodes might arrive in early 2026.
Why? Well, series 1 and 2 both debuted in March 2024 and 2025 respectively. With cameras currently rolling on new stories, it’s possible that series 3 could be with us sooner than we think.
