Apprentice fans slam BBC for signing up 'fame hungry' Geordie Shore star Roxanne Hamedi

She's already auditioned for multiple reality shows

Apprentice 2026 candidate Roxanne Hamedi previously quit her job as a pharmacist to star in Geordie Shore – because she was “bored”.

It has also emerged that she’s had failed auditions for both Love Island and Married At First Sight.

And in a resurfaced interview, Roxanne – who called herself Roxy at the time – expressed her desire to “be a presenter” or “appear on Dancing On Ice or Strictly”.

Roxanne is one of 20 new candidates heading into Lord Alan Sugar’s boardroom next week.

She hopes to get investment for her Botox and fillers business.

But fans of the BBC show are unimpressed by Roxanne’s previous and multiple attempts to become a famous reality star.

When was The Apprentice’s Roxanne in Geordie Shore?

In her press interview ahead of The Apprentice kicking off, Roxanne describes herself as a pharmacist from Aberdeen.

She says: “I bring elegance, sexiness, sassiness, and determination, and with a revolutionary brand ready to lead the next wave of innovation, I am a truly unique candidate for The Apprentice.”

But Roxanne does not mention that she previously ditched her “boring” job to appear on Geordie Shore.

She starred in the MTV show’s spin-off, Geordie Shore: Hot Single Summer, in 2011. Roxanne – aka Roxy – met Geordie Shore OG Scott Tindale on the show and even went on to date him.

Roxy later told The Sun: “I’ve reached a certain age where I think you only get one life and it’s far too short. When an opportunity like this comes your way you have to go for it.”

Speaking of her Geordie Shore co-stars, she added: “Some of them didn’t know what a pharmacist was and does. I had to explain that I’ve got a degree.

“I was the only one in there that had that line of work. Everyone was a dancer, singer or something like that.”

What other shows has Roxy been in?

Geordie Shore was Roxanne’s first shot at reality TV fame. However, she went on to audition for several other shows.

In the same interview, Roxanne said she had tried out for ITV2’s Love Island and E4’s MAFS (Married At First Sight UK), but she wasn’t chosen for the screen in either.

Roxanne added: “I’d love to be a presenter or appear on something like Dancing on Ice or Strictly.”

As a result, loyal fans of The Apprentice aren’t thrilled with the BBC signing Roxanne.

One viewer complained on Reddit: “More influencers and beautician [bleep].” Another one added: “Lots of influencers and fame seeking candidates!”

And someone else wrote: “Telling ya, this show has gotten increasingly and irreversibly worse.”
