BBC’s OnlyFans: Inside the Machine reveals models ‘thrown down stairs’ by 'predatory male managers’ aged just 18
They are described as a 'corporate offshoot of the manosphere'OnlyFans: Inside the Machine is an explosive documentary set to unveil a frightening new wave of violent and exploitative model ‘managers’ aged as young as 18.
The BBC exposé lifts the lid on a shocking dark side of the adult content site, with accusations even made of ‘human trafficking and modern day slavery’.
Completely unregulated, these so-called ‘managers’ are predominantly men and their actions are described as a “corporate offshoot of the manosphere”.

Several brave models have spoken out and shared their experiences of OnlyFans managers for the documentary, which airs tonight.
The majority, they warn, are misogynistic and prey on vulnerable women.
These ladies have been forced to hand over their OnlyFans account details before being conned out of money and controlled.
And if they argue back, things turn ugly.
One woman says in the documentary she was “strangled” and left black and blue after being “thrown up and down” the stairs for simply changing her OnlyFans password and blocking her male manager.

BBC’s OnlyFans: Inside the Machine exposes rise of ‘managers’
BBC reporter Amber Haque fronts OnlyFans: Inside the Machine. She visits a number of women who use the adult subscription site to make money.
They include successful models Lily Phillips and Gia Clarke.
But one model, a mum-of-four called Leanne, has a horror story to tell. She was convinced into signing a contract with a male manager who promised to help make her £10,000 a week on OnlyFans.
There are no current laws or legislation in place to monitor these men’s so-called management companies.
In Leanne’s case, the unnamed man eventually coerced her into recorded an explicit video of herself for the site. This was after she had told him she wasn’t comfortable posing fully naked online.
“I felt physically sick,” Leanne tells Amber. “I threw the video to them and said, ‘Don’t sell it for anything less than £250”.
Two days later, Leanne realised they had sold her video $36 (£26) on OnlyFans.
“I cried and said the agreement was £250,” Leanne recalls. “They just went, ‘It’s not going to be suitable working with you. We don’t think it’s going to benefit us’.”
Beginning to cry again, Leanne admits: “Honestly, it made me feel so disgusting and so degraded.”

‘They threw me up the stairs’
Rebecca, a mum-of-one from South Wales, also fell victim to a rogue ‘management agency’. The man behind it made her sign a contract agreeing to give him 50 per cent of everything she made on OnlyFans.
She says: “At first, they were lovely. They told me I was so beautiful had had potential to make a lot of money. Within a few weeks, they told me I looked like [bleep] and became abusive and controlling.”
Rebecca claims they banned her from seeing friends. She was warned she “wouldn’t be able to put the work in” after a night out.
Rebecca said the final straw came when they began pressuring her to “get into escorting”. She then blocked them her from her OnlyFans account and changed her password.
But what followed was horrific.
“There was a lot of verbal abuse, phone calls,’ she tells Amber. “They said they were sending someone to my address to swing me and my daughter around by our hair.”
Two weeks later, Rebecca says she was confronted in her home: “I had two masked men come to my house and attack me. They strangled me, they threw me up the stairs and back down. I thought ‘this is it’.”
Rebecca shows Amber horrifying pictures of her bruised legs. She admits: “The strangling was the worst.”
When is OnlyFans: Inside the Machine on?
Later in the show, Amber speaks to several legal and human rights experts. It is suggested that the mangers’ rogue actions could be considered as ‘human trafficking” or “modern day slavery”.
OnlyFans, meanwhile, tells the BBC that it “takes the safety of its users seriously”, adding: “OnlyFans’ relationship is with our Creators and Fans and we are not connected with, and do not endorse any third parties including management agencies.”
OnlyFans: Inside the Machine airs tonight (Monday June 15, 2026). You can watch it at 10.55pm on BBC One.
The documentary, which is an hour long, will also be available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
