Kate Garraway has clapped back at fans of The Celebrity Traitors after they accused her of dropping a pretty ‘big spoiler’.

The 58-year-old was back doing the day job on Good Morning Britain where she discussed her time on the BBC One game show.

While she was quick to praise Alan Carr’s role as a Traitor, fans were quick to point out that in doing so, she may have revealed her own fate on the show.

After a clip was shown of Alan in action, Kate said: “Oh I love him! Of course I didn’t know he was a traitor until after I left the castle. I didn’t know he was lying to me!”

Good Morning Britain viewers were quick to point out that it must mean Kate gets the chop before Alan is outed as a Traitor.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), one viewer said: “Kate Garraway giving away that she didn’t know Alan Carr was a traitor in the castle… so she left before he was unmasked!”

However, the broadcaster has been quick to correct the record. Stressing she had not ruined the show and dropped a spoiler, Kate replied: “I meant at this point – I am reliving each ep in real time and none of us knew any of the Traitors at this point because so far we are staggeringly hopeless!”

Kate’s comments came after she found herself in the firing line during the first roundtable of the series. She and YouTuber Niko Omilana were neck and neck with the same number of votes. But ultimately, it was Niko who was banished by the Faithfuls.

Kate added her children, 19-year-old Darcey and 15-year-old Billy, were “furious” she survived.”To be fair, I didn’t vote for him!” she laughed on the show. “I thought he was Faithful, he was a Faithful, I don’t have blood on my hands.”

The Celebrity Traitors: Who’s gone?

Kate is right about one thing; the Faithfuls are “staggeringly hopeless” this series. Alongside Alan, singer Cat Burns and television host Jonathan Ross were chosen as Traitors. And so far, the three of them have managed to move and murder around the castle undetected.

Alan brutally murdered best pal Paloma Faith in plain sight for the first death of the series. Paloma has since claimed she has forgiven the comedian (but can’t resist the odd dig or two at her former friend).

Meanwhile, Niko faced the wrath of the roundtable, and was banished despite being one of the Faithfuls. Olympian Tom Daley was next to be murdered – with suspicion then falling on EastEnders star Tameka Empson.

The most recent murder victim this series is actress Ruth Codd in episode 4. The Faithfuls also failed to identify a true Traitor, leaving Clare Balding banished at the roundtable.

However, suspicion has started to fall on Jonathan. Rugby player Joe Marler has since sniffed his own theory, which comedian Joe Wilkinson agreed with. Joe suggested that the Celebrity Traitors host, Claudia Winkleman, had wanted to pit two of the most famous contestants against each other.

The 35-year-old continued that he believed Jonathan would lead the traitors, with Stephen Fry tasked with helping the Faithfuls. But as it stands, Joe is yet to convince any of the other Faithfuls of his theory.

When does The Celebrity Traitors finish?

The Faithfuls don’t have much longer left if they want to secure money for their chosen charities. The BBC has now announced that this series will conclude on Thursday 6 November at 9pm, with viewers treated to a 70 minute special.

We hope to see at least on Traitor rumbled by then!
