Todd's truly isolated from his loved ones

In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, December 1), Theo was up to his usually tricks and had Todd hide away in the flat.

Todd still had a pretty nasty cut on his face and Theo didn’t want anyone getting the ‘wrong’ idea about how he’d come to get it.

He then forced Todd to hide in the flat before making up a huge lie to his concerned loved ones…

Todd forced to hide in Coronation Street

This evening on the cobbles, poor Todd Grimshaw had plans to visit Summer after her recent collapse but Theo soon put a pin in them. He explained that he didn’t want anyone thinking that he had hurt Todd, believing it was best for him to ‘lie low’ in the flat until the cut on his face didn’t look as bad.

Todd promised that he would stick to the story he’d told the doctor at the hospital and wouldn’t mention Theo. However, he then hid in the flat, peering through the curtains to check if Theo was on his way back.

Summer spotted someone in the flat and presumed that it was Todd. But, Theo had told everyone that he was in London.

Theo and Todd’s mates then worried that a burglar had entered the flat, insisting on investigating alongside Theo.

Theo managed to get there first to warn Todd to hide in the bedroom before making out that whoever had entered through the open door must’ve scarpered off with their laptop.

Summer suggested that they check the in-house security CCTV footage but Theo told her it was broken so wouldn’t be of any use.

Theo had once again successfully managed to cover his tracks, and isolate Todd even further from his mates.

James Cartwright rules out ‘redemption’ arc for villain Theo Silverton

Now, Theo Silverton star James Cartwright has teased that there’s no going back for Theo as far as redemption is concerned. He believes that he’s too far into his villain arc to change his ways.

Speaking to the Metro, actor James Cartwright said: “I’m a big believer in rehabilitation, in second chances.

“But I think that what we’re seeing now is a pattern of behaviour from Theo which he seems incapable of learning from. It’s been this gradual escalation where the pressure has just been upped and upped, like boiling the toad.

“Theo has just upped the temperature one degree at a time. The further you get down a road with a relationship like this, you start to feel a bit embarrassed, and so you start to make excuses for their behaviour. This is where Theo is sitting at the moment which is a very dangerous position for Todd.”

So, with this in mind, fans can only hope that Theo eventually gets his comeuppance.

Trinity on Netflix: Inside the new Jed Mercurio thriller starring Bodyguard's Richard Madden

Line of Duty mastermind Jed Mercurio brings his new political series Trinity to Netflix. Richard Madden and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will lead the cast - but what is it about?

One of TV’s most successful writers returns to his happy place for a new thriller full of twists and turns.

Trinity transports viewers into a world of political intrigue where deep secrets and surprise revelations are commonplace. It’s also a story with a timely edge, with Mercurio weaving in elements of wild machinations and world-controlling conspiracies.

Leading the way are two of television’s biggest names. One previously worked with Mercurio on his 2018 hit political thriller Bodyguard. Meanwhile, the other has been keeping Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief Loki on his toes in the character’s namesake Disney+ series.

Keep reading for everything we currently know about Trinity, including its plot, cast and when you might find it on Netflix.

Trinity - what’s the plot of this new Netflix show?

The stakes are high in the new Netflix drama Trinity.

Mercurio's story looks at a bond between a high-power naval officer and an equally-influential politician.

As the pair's relationship grows, it becomes clear that things aren't quite as straightforward as they first appeared.

"A heroic female naval officer becomes involved with the outwardly charismatic secretary of defense, only to discover he may be at the heart of a dangerous conspiracy," explains the official Netflix synopsis.

Who will star?

Netflix has only revealed two names for Trinity but they’re more than enough to pique our interest.

Mbatha-Raw will play Commander Katherine Decker. She's second in command on the USS Kansas, "a nuclear submarine and one of the deadliest weapons on Earth."

Meanwhile, Madden plays Secretary of Defence Webb Preston. Described as highly charismatic, his technical expertise sets him apart from most other politicians. However, Netflix teases that his "innovation and purpose are seen as a threat in more ways than one."

In addition to playing Ravonna Renslayer in Loki, Mbatha-Raw has also appeared in the much-loved San Junipero episode of Black Mirror and episodes of Doctor Who.

In fact, she'll return to the Who-universe for this year's spin-off series The War Between The Land of the Sea.

Madden might still be best known to many as Game of Thrones' Robb Stark. However, he's since appeared in movie's like 2019's Elton John biopic Rocketman and Marvel's divisive 2021 feature Eternals. He can currently be seen in Prime Video's action thriller Citadel alongside Priyanka Chopra.

Trinity will reunite the actor with Mercurio after the pair worked together on BBC One thriller Bodyguard in 2018.

Trinity on Netflix - how many episodes will there be?

Netflix has confirmed that there will be eight-episodes of Trinity. At this early stage, we don't know how long each might last.

Mercurio has written the entire series and will also act as the showrunner.

Michael Cuesta will executive produce the show and direct episodes one and two. His previous work includes instalments of Homeland, Dexter and most recently, Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+.

When is it released?

Trinity will debut on Netflix but we don't know when.

We could have a long wait on our hands. Perhaps we should have an eye on late 2026 or early 2027? Either way, the streamer is sure to dish out new details as production gets underway, so check back soon.
