Coronation Street on ITVX today (Tuesday, July 28), saw Jodie Ramsey trick David and Shona into thinking she was going to shoot them with a gun.

After Lily exposed Jodie’s trinket box secret, Shona and David were desperate to find the hidden gun.

However, they were in for a shock when Jodie went upstairs to fetch the ‘gun’ and soon pointed it straight at them.

Shona and David’s quest to find the gun in Coronation Street

Today in Weatherfield, David informed Shona about the gun that Jodie had hidden in the house.

With baby Harper now at home, the couple were horrified and started to rummage through the house for the gun while Jodie was out.

Shona then received a phone call from Jodie saying that she was on her way home, with Shona having to sound normal while answering.

When Jodie returned, David immediately confronted her about the gun situation. He wanted to know where it was.

Jodie then went upstairs to fetch the gun and brought it down to show them.

Jodie threatened Shona and David with a gun

Jodie came down the stairs and pointed the gun at the worried couple. She quoted David as she referred to herself being a ‘nutcase,’ soon pulling the trigger.

Fortunately for Shona and David though, no bullet was shot because Jodie’s gun was fake. Yes, she’d switched the real gun with a fake gun to avoid being rumbled.

Jodie then lied that her gun was always fake and that Lily had just got the wrong idea about it being real. She’d told Lily to keep the discovery a secret because she didn’t want to worry anyone.

She was keeping a fake gun in case the people who kidnapped her ever returned and she needed to threaten them.

This story seemed to be enough for the couple to believe Jodie, but Lily still had her concerns. She couldn’t believe how her parents could just believe Jodie and let her stay in the house with Harper.

Lily was right to be worried as Jodie soon retrieved the real gun when nobody was looking. She climbed onto a chair and reached to the top of the kitchen cupboard.

Unwrapping the gun, she then headed outside. But, where is she planning on storing the gun next? And, will she pull the trigger?
