As Coronation Street name drops Mason Radcliffe, fans ‘work out’ how he could return to the cobbles alive

This week in Coronation Street, Betsy Swain remembered her late boyfriend Mason Radcliffe in emotional scenes.
With a group of lads causing the Weatherfield teens Betsy, Brody and Dylan some hassle at the precinct, the subject of Mason was soon brought up.
And, fans think there’s an important reason as to why he’s suddenly been mentioned again after all this time.
Mason Radcliffe remembered in Coronation Street
The teens were approached by some lads at the precinct while drinking some cans of alcohol. The lads approached them and demanded that they handed over their drinks.
When Betsy stood up to them and told them to back off, they then mentioned knowing Mason Radcliffe and previously telling him that he could do better than his girlfriend.
The lads were eventually sent packing (with the help of Debbie and her mates), but the topic of Mason and his death was still firmly on Betsy’s mind.
Betsy then sat down with Dylan and told him that she never stopped thinking about Mason. He was on her mind 24/7. She felt to blame for his death as the only reason he wanted to stand up to his brothers was to help her figure out how her mum Becky died. And, Becky was alive the whole time.
Dylan then reminded Betsy that Mason died knowing that he was loved and that would’ve meant the world to him.
Betsy thanked Dylan for his kind words and started to think about moving forward and what she wanted her future to look like. And, that looked like fashion college in London and a long distance relationship.
Coronation Street fan theory predicts Mason Radcliffe will return to soap alive
With Mason being mentioned a year and a half after his death, a new Coronation Street fan theory has ‘worked out’ why he’s suddenly been name dropped now.
For quite some time, fans have believed that Mason never actually died but was sent to witness protection just like Becky.
And, with the teen being mentioned once again, a new fan theory has predicted that his return could be just around the corner.
One fan commented: “There’s been too much talk about Mason. He’s about to come back from the dead.”
Another person online added to the theory: “I’m also always thinking about Mason. Mason’s coming back from the dead like Becky! Let’s goooo.”
Mason was a rather popular character towards the end of his time on the cobbles. And, fans would love to see a return happen. But, could this be the case? Was his hard-hitting stabbing death actually all a big cover-up to keep him protected in the Becky case? Is he still alive?
