Coronation Street spoilers for Wednesday August 5: Brody gets blamed for Dylan's attack and Lauren leaves Betsy to fend for herself
Dylan knows who really attacked him, and it wasn't BrodyCoronation Street has been very dramatic over the last few weeks, and spoilers for Wednesday August 5, tell us that there are no plans for that stopping anytime soon.
It may only be halfway through the week, but a lot has already happened on the cobbles. Dealing with the fallout of Dylan’s attack, Brody quickly becomes number one suspect.
Elsewhere, wanting to help Sarah’s case, Kit reveals his plan to Bethany, who is eager to help him. But what will the pair find?

1. Brody becomes prime suspect
Sean and Dylan head to thank Nina for getting him to the hospital after the attack. But later, Sean spots Brody and heads straight over.
He accuses him of being the one to attack Dylan. While Brody maintains his innocence, Dylan pulls Sean away and tells his dad it wasn’t him.
But will he tell him who really did it?
2. Lauren leaves Betsy alone – and things go wrong
When Lauren heads to visit Betsy, their conversation quickly turns into an argument. As a result, Lauren storms out, leaving Betsy all alone in the house.
Later, Lauren returns to find Carla comforting Betsy after she had an accident while left alone. Carla yells at Lauren for leaving her best friend.
3. Kit reveals his plan to Bethany
Kit gets a hard drive containing ‘data’ he had requested. But Bethany arrives and wants to know exactly what is going on.
Realising she deserves to know the truth, Kit tells her about Gary’s involvement in Theo’s murder, and how he wants to prove he is the reason Sarah didn’t go to the police as it could lessen Sarah’s sentence.
While going through the data, Kit is shocked when he makes a discovery.
4. Asha’s plan backfires
Trying to help Sienna, she suggests it might be time to find a nursing home for her mum where she can be safe and happy.
However, the conversation doesn’t go the way she had hoped. Later, Asha reveals to Dev that Sienna’s mum freaked out when she realised what was happening. But Ronnie is close, listening to everything with unease.

Following Betsy’s stroke, Sally decides it’s time to talk to Joanie about how dangerous strangulation during sex can be. And explains to her that it needs to be avoided at all costs.
