As Debbie falls ill in prison cell, spoilers confirm further upset over Lou’s ultimate betrayal
Debbie's health took a turn
In today’s episode of Coronation Street (Tuesday, March 3), inmate Debbie Webster took a bad turn while alone in her prison cell.
She tried to notify the prison guard but was ignored, instead being left to fend for herself.
Spoilers for upcoming episodes have now confirmed Debbie’s fate as Lou Michaelis carries out the ultimate betrayal.

Debbie Webster’s bad turn in prison
Debbie Webster was rather worried when she spotted her new mate Lou with a freshly bruised eye. Lou told her that Paula had done it, but she needn’t worry. When the kids came to visit, she’d tell them she fell into a cupboard.
Debbie tried to alert a prison guard that Lou had been beaten up but she was quickly stopped. Instead, she told the guard that she’d gone slightly dizzy but was alright now. The guard then told Debbie that she was wasting her time and that she shouldn’t call on her every time she took a ‘funny turn.’
In the prison visiting room, Debbie Webster was met by son Carl who wanted more money from his mum. She agreed to set up a monthly direct debit, feeling bad for all the years she’d lied to him.
Sally was over one the other side of the room visiting Lou when she questioned Debbie over Lou’s bruises. She then warned Debbie not to hand over her money to her son.
After visiting hours, Debbie returned to her cell and appeared to suffer another TIA. She called the guard for help but was ignored, left to stumble to the edge of her bed and slump onto the floor instead.

Coronation Street spoilers confirm Debbie’s fate as Lou betrays her
In Coronation Street spoilers for the rest of the week, Debbie Webster recovers from her bad turn and is left feuding with Lou over a huge betrayal. Although, it must be said that Lou means well this time.
Debbie Webster storms back into her cell, muttering that if this is how she’s spending what could be her last precious months of freedom, someone owes her a refund. Prison life is bad enough without the looming fear that time isn’t on her side.
Trying to ‘help,’ Lou Michaelis takes matters into her own hands and dials Sally Metcalfe, giving her a full emotional weather report on Debbie’s gloomy state. Naturally, Sally wastes no time relaying the update to Ronnie Bailey.
When Debbie discovers Lou’s gone broadcasting her private meltdown, she’s livid. In her book, that’s not friendship – that’s grassing. Lou insists she was only looking out for her, but Debbie’s not buying the halo act.
Behind bars, it’s less orange is the new black and more trust issues in technicolour. Can this cell block sisterhood survive a well-meaning blab, or has Lou well and truly overstepped?
