Has Emmerdale just revealed Dr Todd's killer? Charity's fight for justice takes a huge turn
Charity spoke to another one of Todd's victims
Emmerdale aired a major development in Charity Dingle’s quest to bring down Dr Todd tonight (Tuesday, July 21), as another victim was revealed.
With Vanessa managing to track down another woman who had been sexually assaulted by Todd, Charity encouraged her to speak up about what had happened so that Todd could be brought to justice.
But, what will this justice look like? With Todd’s death approaching, has the soap just ‘revealed’ her killer?
Charity found another one of Todd’s victims in Emmerdale
Tonight in the Dales, Vanessa and Mack went ahead with their plan to find more evidence against Todd.
Vanessa headed to the hospital and asked Jacob if he had heard anybody else comment about being on the receiving end of Todd’s violence and threats.
He hadn’t, but he said that he knew someone who could possibly help – Carol. Any complaints would be passed through Carol. Vanessa soon asked her if anybody else had ever come forward about Todd.
Carol didn’t want to break confidentiality but left something to print while grabbing a coffee with Jacob. This allowed time for Vanessa to read the document and track down a member of staff called Helen.
Charity soon caught wind of Mack and Vanessa’s plan. She headed over to the hospital to stop Vanessa from trying to do what the police couldn’t.
However, she soon sat down with Helen and quickly found out that Todd had made her life a misery too. Helen detailed how Todd had pushed her up against the wall and put her hand down her trousers. Helen had then pushed her away before she could do anything else.
Charity then made Helen see that this was still sexual assault. She then urged Helen to take the brave step in officially reporting Todd and speaking up about her experience. Together they could help get justice and make Todd pay, stopping her from hurting anybody else.
Dr Todd’s killer ‘revealed’ in Emmerdale
With a recent flashforward showing that Dr Todd will be murdered rather soon, there might’ve just been a crucial ‘clue’ that’s just aired on screen.
New character Helen has only just been introduced into the soap, and while her introduction would be key to helping Charity see Todd go to prison, we know that Todd will be murdered instead.
This is Soapland, and we know that new characters are rarely brought in for no reason. They usually impact a storyline in some way. And, if Helen isn’t going to help Todd go to prison… then is she going to help Charity get ‘justice’ another way?
Will Helen be inspired by her talk with Charity, realise that something must be done, and bump Todd off?
Viewers will have to keep an eye out for the character again to see if she’s capable of killing the villain.
