Emmerdale spoilers: Who killed Dr Todd exposed, Serena's secret revealed and life or death for Mack and Ross
We love all the drama Emmerdale brings - and the next few months are no different!Emmerdale spoilers are heating up at the moment with the upcoming death of Dr Todd hot on everyone’s lips.
This week on-screen has been packed full of shocks as we saw a flashforward that revealed Dr Todd was dead. But who did it?
Elsewhere, Serena Sugden was asking a lot of questions about John Sugden, and Cain found out that Kyle started the fires. So he flipped. Standard.
Spoilers for Monday July 6 to Friday, July 10 reveal Kyle starts another fire, but this time Monty the dog is trapped inside. It’s then devastating news for the Dingles as they discover Monty has cancer.
Also, Kev tries to win Lewis round by changing his last name to Barton, but then Kev is accused of ransacking the cafe. Who was really behind it?
Beyond this, we can also look forward to watching some big storylines finally reaching their end, some huge characters may be saying goodbye – and some other villagers getting a chance to shine.

1. Who killed Dr Todd revealed
A (disappointing) flashforward this week saw Dr Todd murdered. But we don’t know who did it – or even when in the future it will happen.
Suspects at the moment include Mackenzie, who went to see her and threatened to stop her breathing if she went near Charity again. That will of course put him at the top of the police’s list, but does he do it?
Charity will also be under suspicion and fans are convinced Serena Sugden will be the killer – just like her cousin John. Sarah Sugden and Vanessa Woodfield are also on the list of suspects. But who delivers the final blow?
2. Serena’s secret exposed
Serena Sugden is the newest member of the family – she is Robert’s cousin.
So how does that work? Well, apparently Robert’s dad – Jack Sugden – was Serena’s grandad’s cousin. Serena’s grandad would have been the son of Jacob Sugden’s brother. So Serena and Robert are in fact first cousins, twice removed.
But the big question is, why has she come looking for Robert now after 15 years? This week she has been asking lots of questions about John Sugden which is raising suspicions everywhere.
Long-lost family members don’t arrive in town without a reason – and are usually hiding a dark secret. So what is Serena hiding?
Kev knows her and suddenly remembers where from. The truth rattles Robert, but then he is struck unconscious by a runaway farm trailer.
Serena just happens to be on the scene to rescue him and Aaron is very worried. He and Chas decide to dig for answers and a secret on Serena’s phone soon blows everything wide open.
Robert confronts Serena over her lies, but will they be able to forgive her deception?
3. Mack and Ross fight and someone’s life is on the line
With Mack unable to see a way back for him and Charity, he also can’t be around Ross knowing he’s the real father of the baby. He tries to keen his anger hidden.
However, things soon come to a head and an argument leads to a fight in a barn. It leaves someone’s life hanging in the balance…
4. Will Dawn marry Joe in Emmerdale spoilers?
Dawn and Joe’s wedding is fast approaching. However Dawn is not finding it easy to see ex Billy in the arms of new girlfriend Gabby.
Joe notices and Gabby suggests Dawn still has feelings for Billy. Will their wedding go ahead? Or is jealousy going to destroy everything?
And will this lead to Dawn’s rumoured exit?
5. Big stunt coming this summer
Emmerdale loves a stunt and this summer is no different. Show boss Laura Shaw has confirmed something is coming and it’s going to be huge.
“It’s going to drop a big, massive bombshell on the village,” she told Inside Soap. “That is going to change lives forever.”
With no more details, we have no idea who it will involve and what the consequences will be, but Emmerdale never fails to deliver on these things, right?
6. More Tates on their way to Emmerdale!
In the same interview Laura said her focus is on building out the Tate and Sugden families. She said she wants the show to remember Sarah is a Sugden and with Jacob having the Sugden name it puts them firmly in that camp.
“There’s going to be a couple of arrivals to strengthen both the Tate and Sugden clans,” she confirmed, without giving away who.
Talk has immediately turned online to the possibility of either a Jamie Tate return. Or the comeback of Zoe Tate’s daughter, Jean, who Joe grew up with in New Zealand. Or could it be another Tate we’ve never even heard of before?
7. Sadie King is back in Emmerdale spoilers
Emmerdale confirmed on Thursday May 14 the rumours are true: Patsy Kensit is making a comeback to the Yorkshire Dales.
Jimmy King‘s ex-wife first arrived in 2004 and departed in 2006. And boy did she cause trouble while she was there.
Of her return, show producer Laura Shaw said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village.
“Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie’s seductive demeanor, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.”
Patsy is equally as thrilled about her comeback. She said: “I am really excited to return to Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before.
“Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing. The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it’s absolutely amazing.”
8. What is Graham up to?
They might have given in to their passion recently, but Graham quickly regretted it and tried to kill Kim! She believes she accidentally took too many painkillers and it was a sign to slow down. However we know it was Graham.
He has said he is going to “try something else” to get rid of her, but Andrew Scarborough who plays Graham has revealed he’s not sure Graham does want to kill Kim. In fact, he thinks feelings are still there between them. So will this end in death or romance?
Graham is also secretly working with someone in this plot, so who is it? What is he up to overall? There must be more to come from his return…
The pair have recently called a truce and there’s been some definite flirting between them. So is Graham’s story really over as far as Kim is concerned?
9. Cain death shock?
We have seen Cain find out he is battling aggressive prostate cancer. He has undergone a radical prostatectomy and is suffering side-effects including incontinence and erectile dysfunction.
Cain has survived the operation, but now the real fight comes as he battles to rebuild his life and face the after-effects. Can Cain cope with this?
He has now been told the cancer has spread and he needs radiotherapy. However, Cain is refusing treatment. He would rather live whatever years he has left normally than face a life-time of side-effects.
Will he change his mind? Or has he just given himself a death sentence?
10. Kammy mum and sister to arrive in Emmerdale spoilers?
Kammy revealed the truth to Belle last week about why he was homeless. He confessed his dad had died when he was 15 and he had gone off the rails.
He started stealing cars and joyriding them until they’d run out of petrol. But his sister was worried about him and tried to take one of the cars back.
However she had an accident and the police got involved. Kammy took the blame. He was facing serious prison time, but the judge was lenient given the death of his dad and he didn’t go down.
But he was so ashamed of the pain he had caused his mother, he left his family.
So now we know Kammy has a mum and sister out there somewhere, and if we know Emmerdale, a story like this will only just be getting started.
With Kammy proving to be a popular character since his arrival a year ago, it makes sense for his family to arrive in the Dales too for a fresh start.
Fans certainly seem to think so on social media: “Will his family move to Dales?” queried one. Another added: “Bring in his family!”
“This is all leading to Kammy’s family eventually arriving,” said a third. A fourth wrote: “I’m excited about this I hope they bring [his sister] into it.”
11. Exit for Jimmy King?
The Sun has reported that Jimmy King is to be killed off after 22 years on the soap. Jimmy, played by Nick Miles since 2004, is set to exit later this year.
Although no official confirmation has appeared from Emmerdale, the story reports that his exit will tie in with ex-wife Sadie’s return to the village.
A source told the publication: “Everyone is shocked and it shows that no one is safe from the budget cuts.
“Bosses are under pressure to cut costs and sadly that means popular cast members being told their time is up.”
They added: “Once the decision was made that Nick would be leaving, the writers quickly realised his character wouldn’t abandon his wife and children so they had to kill him off.
“That’s what made them approach Patsy about returning.”
Jimmy is the last remaining of the four King brothers after Matthew, Carl and Max were also all killed off. Their dad Tom King also met his maker in a huge whodunnit.
12. Goodbye Vinny?
It was reported by The Sun recently that Vinny Dingle is leaving the soap in a move that is said to have left Lisa Riley, who plays his on-screen mum Mandy Dingle, “devastated”.
A source told the publication: “Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family.
“Everyone is shocked that bosses decided to axe him but it’s all part of the ITV cuts and they still need to trim back the cast.
“They are making less episodes so don’t need as many characters.”
They added: “Lisa is devastated. She adores Bradley and they have such a close bond. It just shows that no-one is safe.”
Emmerdale has made no comment.
Vinny was involved in a huge storyline last year where he married Gabby Thomas, but was questioning his own sexuality at the time. He ended up being beaten and extorted by a man he met on an online forum.
Gabby eventually found out when Vinny stood up in court. Despite trying to make their marriage work, the couple separated. He is now loved-up with Lewis Barton. But by the sounds of things that romance is not going to last.
