Emmerdale fans convinced soap 'foreshadowed’ Jimmy King’s death in emotional scene with Charity in early ITVX release

Warning, spoilers ahead for tonight’s episode (Friday, August 21). The episode hasn’t yet aired on TV, but is available to watch on YouTube and ITVX.
For months, the shocking death of Jimmy has been a huge rumour. But Emmerdale fans are convinced that it is about to happen. And it’s all because of a heartbreaking chat Jimmy has with Charity.
Jimmy and Charity share an emotional conversation
In tonight’s episode, Charity finds Jimmy sitting by his brother’s graveside. Obviously, Charity and Jimmy have a complicated history, and so there is a lot of backstory between them. So, it was quite a nice scene getting to see the pair speak honestly together.
However, the contents of the conversation has made a lot of Emmerdale fans terrified that Jimmy’s death is right around the corner.
Charity and Jimmy reminisced on the past, speaking about all of the King brothers. She made him see that none of his brothers were the “poster-boy for stability”. But he was. She reminded him that he has an amazing family life with Nicola and the kids.
She told him: “You are a better dad than your dad ever was. If you’re worried about your legacy, Jimmy, it’s not about what you leave behind. It’s about who you leave behind, and how you made them feel.”
The pair bonded over the conversation. But many fans fear it may be the last one they ever have.
Fans fear Jimmy King’s death is coming soon in Emmerdale
Taking to Reddit after watching the early release, fans discussed whether or not it meant he would be leaving the show soon.
One fan penned: “Does anyone else think tonight’s episode foreshadowed Jimmy’s death? When Charity told him it ‘doesn’t matter’ what he leaves behind etc…”
Another agreed: “Yeah, it was. And I actually cried. It wasn’t even that sad. But I liked that it was with Charity.”
A third commented: “Lots of nostalgia in recent episodes. Throwback to the biting at the wedding, lots of mentions of Kelly and now the wonderful interaction between Charity and Jimmy. The only thing missing was a mention of Sadie, the woman he was married to for 17 years. But I assume they’re holding it back for her big arrival!”
“I felt like they were giving Jimmy and Charity this scene together for the actors to say goodbye to the relationship their characters have had” another commented.
It’s important to note that Emmerdale have not confirmed Jimmy’s death. However, recent episodes have definitely not been looking good for his future…
