1. Cain’s adoption plan blindsides Kyle
Cain wants Moira to adopt Kyle so he feels secure if anything should happen to Cain. He wants to ask Kyle how he feels with Moira, but she is forced to rush off to care for injured Nana Barton.
Cain has the conversation alone, but Kyle is stunned by the suggestion. He goes to ask Kerry’s advice and then returns to give Cain his answer. What will it be?
2. Devastating news about Monty
As Kyle is preparing to tell Cain what he wants, Sam interrupts and reveals something is wrong with Monty. Rhona arrives and tells them Monty’s tumour has spread and suggests they think about next steps.
3. Cain accepts Monty’s fate in Emmerdale spoilers
Emotional Cain can’t cope, feeling his own fate is intertwinned with the dog. But when he finds Monty sleeping on Zak’s grave, he realises it is time to say goodbye.
4. Monty’s final goodbye
Cain explains everything to the boys and takes Monty to the vets. Everyone is emotional as Monty leaves them.
Isaac suggests they see Monty off like a true Dingle and they decide to have a funeral. Cain’s eulogy is moving and emotional as the family unite in grief, love and hope for the future.

Having decided to move to Dusseldorf for better job opportunities, Noah is worried how to break the news to Charity. When he finally tells her, it’s clear she is heartbroken. He decides to stay in the village for her sake, but is it really what he wants?
6. Charity takes a brave step
Charity decides to return to the support group. She braces herself and opens up about her experience and how it is different from everyone else’s. But the facilitator makes her see the feelings of guilt and shame that Charity is carrying belong to Dr Todd and not to her. Will this help Charity?

7. Jimmy fails to impress
With Nicola worried about her love life with Jimmy and how stale it is, Jimmy decides to take action. He organises a date and Nicola is delighted.
However, when she discovers what he’s got planned, any excitement goes out the window. Will Nicola agree to the idea of how he wants to spend time together? Or is this just another sign things are not well between them?
8. Nicola horrified at Jimmy’s ‘betrayal’
Jimmy later brings his golf clubs int the café and furious Nicola shoves them. A jewellery box then falls out.
