Strictly Come Dancing viewers are in for a real treat this weekend – a pro group dance featuring a brand new stunt.
The upcoming number was teased on Strictly’s spin-off show, It Takes Two, and it looks magical.
Pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin opened up the BBC segment, saying: “We are twirling into a dream for this week’s magical group number!”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Week 2 group dance
It has been revealed the routine will be a “contemporary, ballroom dance”. And in it, two stars will take to the skies as part of a very daring stunt!
With the female pros dressed in orange training skirts, the first look teaser showed the group practising the slow dance. “There’s so much happening on the floor,” explained pro, Carlos Gu.
“There’s the bushes, there’s the trees, and then we have to constantly change our partner and lifting with the different people. So it’s quite challenging.”
In the quick trailer, accompanied by the tune That’s So True, by Gracie Abrams, the male dancers can be seen spinning around their partners and lifting them into the air. The footage faded before the cameras revealed the weekend’s big moment – the stunt.
Nikita and Jowita’s daring stunt
Paired up with Jowita Przystal, Strictly pro Nikita will dangle from the studio roof on a wire. “My job in this routine is to bring Jowita into this dream world and bring her out of the ordinary,” he explains. “At a certain point, both of us just take flight.”
He added: “It has never been done on Strictly that two people fly together the same time. It honestly feels like we are in this Peter Pan magical world where I’m showing her everything that she can ever have, and it’s such a beautiful feeling.”
The costumes will no doubt be magical. Strictly has high standards, after all. This will be no different!
The professional group routine on Strictly Come Dancing is always a favourite with fans. In previous years, the pros have put on dazzling displays. They have performed to hits Shut Up and Dance, Hooray for Hollywood, I Can’t Help Myself and Girls Just Want To Have Fun.
Usually, the group numbers – which are pre-recorded – play out during the Strictly: The Results show on Sunday. The show returns this weekend, so make sure you are ready.
