As Gary stands over Theo’s dead body in flashback, huge Coronation Street theory suggests Sarah killed the abusive villain first
Gary was at the scene of the crime
Tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Wednesday, June 10), saw a huge flashback air in which Gary Windass was standing over Theo Silverton’s body.
With Kit on his case and with Maria being suspicious of what Gary is hiding, a level of guilt was creeping up on Gary.
And, it seemed that Sarah was the only one in the know about what he was fretting over.

Gary’s incriminating Theo crime scene flashback in Coronation Street
At the factory today, Gary slipped away into Sarah’s office for a hush-hush chat, with the pair very much acting like they were carrying a secret that only they’re in on. Things didn’t stay calm for long, as Gary quickly admitted it felt like only a matter of time before everything blew up and they were both exposed. Sarah tried to steady the mood, reminding him he’d been in a similar mess before and somehow managed to come out the other side.
Gary, though, looked far from reassured, clearly baffled that he’d ended up tangled in yet another situation like this.
Meanwhile at the salon, Maria was busy sorting Sean’s hair when news reached her about Gary and Sarah’s little office meet-up. With Gary already acting a bit off lately, Maria’s imagination didn’t take much to run wild, and she couldn’t shake the worry that something more than friendship might be going on between them.
Later at the Rovers, Gary arrived just as the conversation turned to Theo’s death, and you could almost feel him tense up. Kit wasn’t far behind, following him outside and doubling down on his belief that Gary is the man for the job. He insisted Gary killed Theo and said all that was missing was proof. Gary shot back with a blunt ‘prove it,’ before walking off looking anything but relaxed. The episode then closed with a flashback showing Gary on the scaffolding, mallet in hand, staring down at Theo’s body below.

Coronation Street fan theory predicts Gary and Sarah murder cover up
Despite Gary Windass looking as though he killed Theo during tonight’s flashback, a new Coronation Street fan theory has predicted that this might not actually be the case.
Another twist could still be on the cards that throws Sarah into the equation. Let’s face it, she must fit into this somehow.
The theory reckons that Sara actually got to Theo first and killed him. Gary then arrived at the scene ready to protect her and realised that she’d already bumped Theo off herself. He then helped her cover up her crime instead.
The fan on Reddit wrote: “Sarah killed theo. And Gary is trying to cover it up, I believe.”
Another fan added: “I think that Gary and Sarah know who killed Theo. Today’s episode made me believe that they are covering for someone who doesn’t even remember killing Theo. Maybe they are covering for Todd.
“Or maybe Sarah killed Theo in self defence.”
A third person shared: “If it was Miles then Gary has no reason to cover for him. We all know though that he’d do anything for Sarah.”
So, did Sarah kill Theo? And, did Gary help her cover up the crime? Is this what they’re hiding?
Shakespeare & Hathaway series 5 confirms guests for episode 6
When Luella Shakespeare and Frank Hathaway's patch of Stratford is "beset by a youth crimewave", out of the shadows emerges The Swan.
The Swan isn't exactly the smoothest of crimefighters though, and soon manages to mess up a surveillance operation.
Noticing that a reward is available to anyone who can identify this costumed wally, the eponymous pair (plus assistant Sebastian Brudenell) enters the picture.
"Comic fan Thea Williams dreams of being The Swan's love interest and directs Frank and Lu to her local comic store to meet others who have been helped.
"There's clearly a connection to be found - owner Vernon McMorris is being harangued by pushy local journalist April Le Fer, who thinks he's The Swan, while Vernon's son Zak and local courier Mortimer Blunt are both superhero fans potentially fitting the bill."
Yet all bets are off when Lu and Frank spy The Swan fleeing April's murder.
Ahead of the episode's broadcast, let's tackle the cosy crime show's latest guest stars.

Who plays Thea Williams in Shakespeare & Hathaway series 5?
Brandishing purple-streaked hair as the comic book nerd Thea is Rosie Dwyer.
After the odd part in medical soap Doctors and 2018's crime drama Strangers, our first guest star nailed a main role as Alex in The A List.
Initially premiering via BBC iPlayer, teen thriller The A List went international over on Netflix.
Rosie would later drop by Netflix's phenomenally popular Sex Education (as Dex's girlfriend) before two cinematic jobs landed in her lap.
Those were Kenneth Branagh's Death on the Nile and this summer's gear-shredding F1: The Movie, headlined by Brad Pitt.

Shakespeare & Hathaway has welcomed Spencer Jones onto the cast this year (Credit: BBC Studios/U&Alibi)[/caption]
Who plays Vernon McMorris?
Multi-hyphenate Spencer Jones is portraying Vernon McMorris in the fifth series of Shakespeare & Hathaway.
Across a 20-year career, arguably his biggest contribution has been to co-create the CBBC comedy Big Babies, in which he also filled the role of Brooks.
From 2012 onwards, Spencer was cast in the more adult-coloured Hollyoaks Later series, a Worzel Gummidge reboot, and Apple TV+ sensation Ted Lasso.
He's also provided many a giggle as Upstart Crow's Kempe, opposite British comedy favourites David Mitchell and Harry Enfield.

Who plays Zak McMorris?
Relative newcomer Hugo Papiernik is taking on the part of Zak McMorris.
The youngster's list of credits only stretch as far back as 2022 and up to this moment he's acted in just short films.
Those are Yellow, The Boys of Troy (which he wrote) and Cold Turkey.
Could Shakespeare & Hathaway launch him into the big leagues?
Who plays Mortimer Blunt?
Over on the Mortimer Blunt side of things is actor Joshua Lewis.
Prior to joining U&Alibi's returning crime caper, he's shown up in a 2007 instalment of Foyle's War as well as a music video for The Black Keys.
More recently, Joshua portrayed the minor character Page in Prime Video's A Very Royal Scandal.
Led by Michael Sheen and Ruth Wilson, that three-parter dramatised the infamous Prince Andrew interview on Newsnight.

Who plays April Le Fer?
Perhaps this sixth episode will be a coming out party for Dani Dupont too, who plays journo April Le Fer.
Uncredited appearances in the award-winning Elton John biopic Rocketman and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One are on the CV.
Apart from that though, Duni is unproven on the small screen, barring one episode of EastEnders three years ago.
